Chapter 16Dr. Routh arrived, and Sydney Jones' maid had prepared one of the luxurious bedroom suites upstairs for his stay. The household's daily routine changed to set aside time for their meetings. Sydney would work-out earlier, and then have a session with Dr. Routh prior to going to work. In the evenings, Dr. Routh ate dinner with them followed by a recap of Sydney's day and feelings concerning her personal tragedies and the mounting suspense surrounding the upcoming lawsuits.
Walker left immediately after dinner, which Sydney insisted he must partake in. If that helped her feel like she had family, he was there for her. She was hurting — badly. He usually didn't dine with his employers, but this was an exception.
