Chapter 4Judith Garner was in a hurry to get to work. She needed to review one of the cases reassigned from Sydney Jones' office. She took a minute to look into the bathroom mirror making sure her strawberry blonde hair was perfect. She would love to wear the new headscarf that matched her green eyes. But it would have to wait until the weekend. She locked the door and rushed to her old Volvo with its headliner held up with silver duct tape. At least the color matched the interior, she thought.
She found the file in which Sydney had interviewed the client. Something came to mind last night, and she wanted to double-check the facts. It could lead to who kidnapped Sydney and make her one day closer to a big payday one way or the other.
