“It’s terrible. This journalist has ruined our chances of going public. I’m so angry I could kill her,” said Sterling as he flexed his muscles while sitting at his office chair.
“The investors pulled out?” asked Billy.
“Yeah. They read all the articles and don’t want to be associated with CUC. We had ten different investors and raised ten million dollars.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, Boss,” said Billy.
“You work so hard for something, and one person screws up the whole thing. My consultant is telling us that we need to release press statements. We need a squeaky-clean image for the next few months. The consultant thinks that we could raise funds from different investors in six months to a year. I hope he’s right.”
