Abigail POV
As I entered the room and shut the door behind me, a searing pain engulfed my chest. It burned, burned, and tore through me. Physically and mentally drained, I collapsed onto the floor, unable to contain my emotions any longer. Bitterness, pain, and anger welled up inside me, and tears streamed down my face.
I knew deep down that it wasn't the right time, especially not with the right person, but the pain still lingered. He was my baby, a part of me, and the void left by his absence was overwhelming.
If only I had known earlier, I would have fought tooth and nail to keep him alive, to keep him by my side. I would have escaped with my baby, no matter how far, just to see him live. But fate had other plans, snatching him away before I could even attempt to flee.
