Emilia's POV
The cold, skin-biting air made it difficult to breathe.
Wrapped in dazzling light, she arrived in silence. No warmth. All I could feel was a weighty light. Around me, the trees leaned back as if they were either running away or bowing down. I couldn't tell which.
She remained even though I blinked.

She didn't speak in a roar or a whisper. You can't ignore that sentence. The kind that rattles and lodges in your chest.
