Emilia's POV
The earth continued to tremble.
I could only hear the frantic pounding of chaos everywhere; I could no longer hear my heartbeat. Nikolas gripped me tightly, his arms trembling but firm as if he was afraid I would disappear if he released me.
"Remember to keep your head down! Keep going!"
