Emilia's POV
As I stood by myself in the middle of the forest, the air was dense, and smoke curled around me. Though their heat was nearly intolerable, flames licked the branches, and I was unable to move. I found myself unable to yell. The wolves howled; their voices rang in my ears from both far and close. Every growl seemed to be pressing nearer, and my pulse flew.
She then started to show up.
Stepping from the flames, a woman's silver hair shone like moonlight. Her eyes were as black as the night, fixed on me. She was tall and strong, as if the fire itself followed her.
