Chapter 30 SOPHIE WESLEY The hand remained over my mouth until the security officers sprinted past us. “What are you? An undercover police woman?" A familiar voice spoke before the hand finally left my mouth. I turned. My eyes narrowed. "Knox?!” I blinked. "Why are you here?” He scoffed, tucking his hands in his pants. "Did I marry a gangster?” He lifted a brow, "wandering around at 2am. What do you think you're doing?” My eyes moved around, and I swallowed hard. I can't tell him why I'm here, but what on earth is he doing here at this time of the night? I scratched the back of my neck, heaving a sigh. Good thing he saved me. Perhaps I would've been dead by now had those security officers gotten their hands on me. "I… uhm…” I paused, trying to think of a proper lie to tell
