Ch. 9 Magnetic Pull...

"Dad! Is this fine?" She called for Eugene to look at her attire. She chose a formal look, a rose gold coloured watch, her favourite set of metal rings and a sexy man bun on her head. She had just eyeliner and a nude lipstick for her makeup with a little bit of blush. She isn't a makeup person. Pulling on her black laced ankle boots she winked at her own reflection. "Beautiful as always." Eugene compliment her leaning against the door frame on which she chuckled. "Thanks Old man. You sure you will be fine?" She asked concerned and he nodded. "I'll be off then. Don't bother to drop me, I'll take my bike." She said kissing his cheek and he kissed her forehead in return. "Drive safe kid! You still haven't recoverd completely yet!" He shouted as she excitedly flung herself off the stairs. "I know, I consulted the doc, he said that I can ride bike, also I am off to brace now. Don't worry!" She shouted back heading outside. Taking out her bike from the garage, she put her helmet and  started the engine. Outside, she was looking like an excited kid but deep inside she was very nervous and had lots of butterflies dancing in her tummy. "I hope everything go well Caz I can't loose a golden chance like her. Let's go Raven." She muttered to herself after taking some deep breaths and vanished with a loud growl. It was around 15 minutes ride and she reached to her destiny. Turning off the engine, she took out the helmet and leaned her Kawasaki ninja on the stand. A quick look in the side mirror, she held the bouquet of flowers in her hands and glanced at the beautiful peach and brown painted house. Of course, she would never forget to get flowers for her beautiful girl also, her father specially plucked the flowers from their garden just for Agnett. Not to mention on Raven's demand. She hit the bell and prayed for herself to the mighty soul or whatever. She heard muffled voices inside as the door opened, revealing a familiar man wearing specs. She introduced herself as he ushered her inside. As soon as she entered the house, she was welcomed by the delicious aroma of food and a really warm hearted interior. But what caused her to stop on her tracks, was the woman who had been driving her crazy. Her heart stopped. The minutes of their silent communication was very difficult to understand. Both of their heart were beating faster than average speed and this caused Raven's palms to get sweaty. Agnett was still clinging to Kayden who was standing there unsure of what to do or what was happening. At the moment Raven gaze landed on Agnett, she literally felt her heart skip a beat. She was gleaming like green forest and her long curles hugged her body, making her look the most gorgeous women ever. On the other hand, when Agnett saw her, for the first time in her life, she found a girl to be this attractive and sexy, in a different kind of way. Not the girly girl kind of way but the 'attraction' kind of way. She was looking hot and manly in her black jeans, white shirt with boots. Her short hairs were tied in a little bun over her head, showing the tattoos all over of her neck. She knew that it was something different, but still declined in her head. Agnett felt her eyes roaming over her in a way that made her go rosy all of a sudden. The way she was standing there all casually dressed with a bouquet in her hands and god! The tattoos! How can anyone won't notice a woman like her. Raven knew that Agnett was staring at her. She didn't notice for how long she had been staring until her mother's voice boomed in excitement. "Good evening sweetheart! I am so glad you're here. Thanks a lot for coming." Neena hugged Raven so lovingly that made her heart swell in adoration. Kayden slowly placed Agnett on the sofa and went to the hungry kittens to feed them, who were whimpering loudly. "It's my pleasure, Mrs. Raymond. You look lovely today." She replied giving her best smile and Neena chuckled. Agnett was watching her intensely all the time and Raven felt her clearly. "Oh thankyou so much, you look fantastic too dear and please call me Neena. You haven't brought your father with you?" She asked smiling as Raven shook her head causing a lock fall on her face. "He was caught up with some work that's why he couldn't come but he told me to apologize on behalf of him." She retorted politely. "Okay it's no problem. I hope he'll be here next time we invite you." She said tapping her shoulders. Raven nodded in agreement. "Hello Miss. Raven, I hope you remember me." Kayden extended his hand for shake and other scratched the back of his neck. "Of course I do. Kayden, right?" She shook his hand chuckling and he nodded. "You look great. God knows, what things we had to gone through to get to you finally." Kayden said jokingly as he guided her to the living room where Agnett was sitting unfazed. "Sorry to be so troublesome, and please just call me Raven." She sat down on the side sofa beside Agnett as Kayden sat close by her, draping his arm behind her. Agnett was sitting awkwardly, too embarrassed to start a conversation and Kayden was making this noise of his foot tapping on the floor. She had a habit of playing with the hem of the cloth when she's nervous or awkward, which Raven completely noticed. Suddenly a kitten came and sat on Raven's lap and meowed sweetly. "Oh hello there little pumpkin! Look at you being so cute!" She held the kitten in front of her face and bopped her nose, smiling widely. Agnett just stared at her in peace. Kayden knew that Agnett isn't going to talk like this so he chose to leave them alone. He bought a glass of water for Raven and got Agnett her medicines before meals. "I'll go and check if Aunty Neena needs my help." He went booping Agnett's nose gently and Raven watched them uneasily. When they both were left alone, Raven decided to hit the rock. "Umm...I..this is for you..." She didn't believe that she actually shuttered but extended the bouquet for Agnett. Agnett's heart pumped crazily in her chest and she bit her lip. She was looking at the flowers then Raven, then flowers then Raven. She took that anyway. "Thanks, these are very gorgeous. It wasn't necessary." She said giving a half smile making Raven feel relieved. "How's your injury?" Agnett asked caressing the petals of the flowers as Raven watched her filling her heart. "I know but I had to and my injuries are fine now. How you doing?" She retorted bending her leg over her knee in less ladylike and more manly manner. "My leg is getting better but arm is gonna take more time." She said watching her in amusement. She was looking way fine for Agnett and she knew that, it wasn't normal. "I know you're expecting an explanation..." Raven suddenly said after a pretty 5 minutes of silence, making Agnett snap her head in her direction. "Look, I had my reasons for not telling the whole truth but trust me it'll be valid enough for you to believe." She replied guiltily, rubbing her neck normally but Agnett found it so voluptuous, she almost got a mini heart attack. "I hope you'll give me a chance to explain myself." The woman said hope in her eyes. Agnett gulped and nodded. She gave her best toothy smile but not before winking at her all flirtatiously. "By the way, you look beautiful in that dress. Green suits you." She complimented her and Agnett did a happy dance inside her mind. She obviously had this whole attire because of this woman and knowing she loved it, made Agnett satisfied. "Thankyou. You look great too, specially I really like your shirt." Agnett said honestly, smiling at her and Raven went crazy. My god! This girl! She has no idea how much more good this shirt will look on her... Raven thought mentally but stopped ASAP. "I am glad you like it. So what's the name of these little buttons?" Raven asked getting up and sitting beside Agnett, holding the kitten. For a moment Agnett thought and then she remembered, she hasn't decided names for her little loves yet!? She looked at her biting her lip. "Don't tell me you haven't chose any?" Raven said jokingly knowing the answer as She nodded her head. "Well, we can think of something." Raven said staring into her eyes and she stared back with shyness. They both knew that they were drawing to each other equally and there was something between them which was familiar. She stared in her black orbs, so deep she could see through them. And Raven was already too happy to have her in front of her eyes, talking to her, listening to her voice and of course! Her billion dollar smile! "Yeah that would be great. What do you think  about him?" Agnett asked gently picking up one. "Oh I think umm, carter? Or Wilson maybe Tristan?" Raven said making thoughtful faces. Agnett almost laughed at her silly names. "Haha, Raven! We are not naming captains or sires of Victorians era. Try something cute." Raven almost lost a beat when she heard her laughter. "Uh... sure. I think Pip should be good." Raven said smiling at the kitten and he meowed. "Look's like he loved it. It's a good one." Agnett replied happily smiling at Raven. "Aye potato! Come here with Raven! Dinner's ready." Kayden yelled from the kitchen and they both nodded. Agnett, of course was  struggling to stand up and walk so Raven held her by waist. "Let me." She whispered. Agnett didn't realize that they were standing close enough to look at each other very clearly. "It's fine, don't trouble." Agnett said trying not to lost in her eyes but failed eventually. Raven knew that Agnett was restraining. "Shush now. Let's go." She shushed the little stubborn kid and went to the dining, with Agnett in her arms. She might had been acting cool and composed but inside she was doing crazy dance. She settled her on a chair and stared at others thinking if she should sit beside her or not. Kayden and Neena were busy fetching food to the table, only  sabestian was sitting at the head seat. "Have a seat Raven." Sabestian said smiling and her and she nodded. After a long analysis, she decided to sit across Agnett which would give her a nice look at her as well as she won't make her feel uncomfortable too. Agnett watched her every move smiling softly in herself, thinking how cute she was acting. After 10 min. The dinner started and Raven's mouth watered. We had Penne vodka, Black bean Stuffed potatoes, Thai vegetable salad and Chicken and vegetables stir fry. Woah! "Do we happen to meet before?" Sabestian suddenly asked Raven on which she frowned. She thought for a while, remembering the pieces if they had met before. Then something clicked! "Oh yes! You work at Angel walk hospital, right?" Raven asked, he nodded. "Well, when the fire broke, I got injured too pretty bad and I was shifted to that hospital. You were the one who came to examine me at first." Raven explained and Sabestian made that 'Aye yes!' face. "Yeah now I remember. The one to whom Fiona thought as a guy." He said shaking his head, smiling and Agnett glanced at Raven. Anyone can get mistaken her for a guy... She thought. "Aunty's cooking is best in this world. You'll be amazed when you'll have it." Kayden said serving for him and Agnett. Kayden settled right beside Agnett and Neena sat beside me. "Yeah, he's right." Agnett said with a proud smile on her face. "I made this one specially for you. Hope you'll enjoy it. Here try this." She served a big piece of cheese burst dish which was baked including other dishes. All of it was looking very delicious and Raven couldn't hold any longer. She took a bite and My god! That hit the every single sense of her body! It was ridiculously delicious. "Mmmm...Mrs. Raymond, this is just on another level! Like seriously very delicious. You should open a restaurant." She said mouthful of food and she laughed. Everyone looked at her confused, that made Raven a bit uneasy. "She's new kids, she doesn't know. I already run a small eatery." Neena said making Raven's eyes wide. "Oh my god! This is awesome. I would love to stop by there someday." Raven said happier than before like a kid. Neena chuckled, "Sure dear and thanks." Raven didn't know for how long she had been eating because it was the first time she ever had such a great feast. Soon they were done and Sabestian was off for his duty. "Take care princess and don't forget to take your medicines." He said kissing her forehead and she nodded. "Thankyou for coming here. It was a pleasure to finally meet you Raven." He shook hands with her and she nodded. "Pleasure was mine." With that he waved off to everyone. "So what you kids upto now?" Neena asked clapping her hands as we all got inside. "I think I should be off too. It must be late for you people." Raven said getting up but Neena pulled her back on couch. "Oh cm on! You sit here and have fun a bit." Neena said pulling her cheeks in such a funny way that Agnett and Kayden, both held their laughter. She talked a lot about the kids and her eatery. She asked raven about her and her work, hobbies etc etc. After a while she stood up to go, this time determined even though she don't wanted. Agnett and Raven, both of them stole glances to each other in between, unable to understand what was going on with them. Yeah, let alone only Raven knew. "It was really fun with you guys. I'll be off now and thank you so much Mrs. Raymond for such a great night." Raven said hugging her and Neena hugged back. "No worries dear. You're always welcome here." She shook hands with Kayden in all dude action. When it was Agnett's turn, she suddenly got really nervous. Her palms stated to sweat and Agnett looked everywhere but her. "Umm, it was nice to meet you too. Hope we'll meet soon." Raven said biting her lip and over gesturing her hands. "I- I will be off now. Bye everyone." She waved and wore her helmet. It was clear that she really don't wanted to be away from Agnett because there was this sting pain in Agnett's chest too. Igniting the bike she turned and went off, not before glancing at Agnett, who stared at her too.  The roaring was left behind as Agnett's happiness fades with her. "Such an amazing woman she is." Neena said watching the ghost of Raven's presence on the street. "Let's go inside." Kayden caressed her head. "I'll be there after a minute. You go first." She said smiling and he nodded. He went inside along with Neena. She stood there on the support of her stick calmly. Raven was frowning all the way and it was frustrating that she couldn't open her mouth more to say but those words only. She wanted to say a lot to her but she couldn't. God knows what came over her, she took a sharp U turn and drove back. There was something in her eyes that was replaced by determination from hesitation. She reached back to Agnett's house and horned. Agnett was about to go back but stopped at the roaring noise. Raven took harsh and fast steps towards her that made Agnett think that something was wrong. She watched her getting closer by every step but didn't move even an inch. Demon was dancing on Raven's head because what she did next, shook both of them. She laced her arms around Agnett's waist and pulled her closed to her in a swift. She slammed her lips and kissed Agnett to the peak of seeing stars.
