CHAPTER 41 THE SKY BURNED orange as we ran into the night. Half of the base had to be on fire by now. And Zacharov’s poor treatment of his men was paying dividends, to us at least, as Alex’s voice spoke in my ear. “The men to the south have thrown down their weapons and run into the forest.
