Adeline stood outside William's house, her heart heavy with the weight of recent events.
The scandalous video of her and Scott had circulated widely, leaving her feeling exposed and humiliated.
She had nowhere else to turn, and William had been her constant source of support. Taking a deep breath, she rang the doorbell.
William opened the door almost immediately, his face lighting up with relief and concern.
"Adeline," he said softly, pulling her into a warm embrace. "I'm so glad you're here."
