Chapter 70. A Day of Discontent Meanwhile, Cordelia was having a very different kind of day. She sat in her boss’s office, her face flushed with embarrassment and anger. Gary, her boss, was fuming. “Cordelia, do you have any idea how serious this is?” Gary’s voice was sharp, his patience wearing thin. “You were tasked with a critical mission. We needed that flash drive with the information you were gathering on the Do brothers.” Cordelia bit her lip, her eyes downcast. “I know, Gary. I’m so sorry. I’ve been looking for it everywhere.” Gary’s face was a mask of frustration. “We’ve been working on this case for two years. You were supposed to deliver that flash drive two nights ago.
