All night, I could feel Dylan's gaze on me. I tried to act nonchalant about what he was doing and just ignored it. Mama Heidy asked me if Dylan and I were okay or if he was still mad at me. I told her he wasn’t angry anymore and that he was even picking me up and dropping me off at work. Mama was so pleased to hear that, praising Dylan for his kindness to me all through dinner. The next morning, I woke up early to avoid running into Dylan. But I was shocked when I found him cooking at the counter.
