Chapter 3 Max

I can not believe it when I walked into that coffee shop on Saturday. As soon as I walked in I smelt the most amazing smell of Carmel and coffee it had my wolf Jax going crazy. I was in the middle of dealing with business and Jax would not stop. He kept going on and on about how good it smelt in the shop and I finally ended up helling at him to calm the f**k down and what did he expect we were in a coffee shop what did he think he would be smelling. I get to the counter and order my coffee while tying on my phone trying to close this dam deal that I have been working on for two months. When Jax is running around I circles like he is chasing he tail or something dam wolf is driving me crazy today. I tell him to calm down for now and I will let him out for a run tonight this has to be why he is acting crazy its been awhile since I let him out. As wolf's we crave to be out side and run in the woods. I have been so busy that I know I have been neglecting Jax with work and getting ready to take over as alpha from my dad and the littletime I do find well I am still a man with needs. I grab my coffee and throw a few dollars on the table and walk out of the shop and Jax starts whining like what the hell Jax . He tells me you were so rude to that girl and I say to him what girl and he is like the girl that gave you your coffee then you did not even tip her, when did you turn into a self center ass. I could not believe the way my wolf was talking to me right now we have never had a disagreement and now I have yelled at him twice and he is telling me off, I need to figure out what is going on. So I tell Jax that I was busy on the phone and with him acting up I can not think straight. I finally tell him that I will go back to the shop tomorrow and tell the girl that I was not trying to be rude that I just had a lot on my mind and I will give her a big tip this seems to shut my wolf up thank God.

That night about 10pm I go out into the woods with my soon to be beta and best friend John and we shift and let our wolf's out for a run. Jax and Flick run through the woods with out a care in the world it is so good to see Jax like this has to be what he needed. I am just relaxing in the back of my mind while Jax runs off all his pent up energy that next thing I know is that John mind links me hey man were are we going it looks like you are leading us into town are you sure this is a good idea. I look out through Jax's eyes and sure enough he is taken into the city. So I try to get him to stop but I can not get control back I link John that I can not get him to stop and that he should stop following if I am seen, I do not want to bring that on him. He tells me right away that he is not leaving me and Flick starts to push Jax off to the side trying to get him more into the woods so we are not seen the whole time I am trying to get him to talk to me about what us going on he has never done anything like this before. Then out of the blue he stops and lays down on the ground and now I start getting worried about mewolf we do not usually get sick but I can not figure out what is going on with him. Finally I look around and Jax has bought us back to the coffee shop from this morning and he says that he just has to smell the delicious smell again and that he is going crazy and needs to smell it. I try to comfort my wolf and tell him that the shop is closed up for the night and that we will go back and talk to the waitress and give her a big tip for me being an ass today. Finally Jax gives in and heads home.

Once we get home and shift back put clothes on and Jack my 3rd in command is in front of us pissed that we did not let him know that we were going out for a run. Of course John had to tell him right away that Jax is going crazy and what he did that is when Jack says maybe my mate was in that shop today. I am like no way Jax would have know that right away and we would not have walked away without claiming her. I told them that I was going back in the morning to apologize to the waitress because I was rude today if they wanted to come with since it was Sunday and we did not have much to do after training. We said good nite and that we would meet up in the morning to go to train then we would all go into the city and hung out for the day.

Max leaves us to go to his him while me and Jack walk to the kitchen to get us something to eat and drink before bed. As we are walking I ask Jack if he really thinks that the way Jax was acting was really over his mate. He said that he did that once Jax smells his mate whether he can tell or not but he is going to crave That smell and he is going to start going feral trying to find it again. So I ask him why would he not have know that his mate was in the shop this morning when they were there Jack reminds me that we have to look into our mated eyes for our wolfsto be sure and that if the girl is not 18 or is not wolf then it might just be her sent . I say I guess we will see I. the morning and hopeful Jax can find the smell again or Max is going to be in a world of hurt
