Entanglement

Chapter 2 [Emily] I stared at the three angelic faces in front of me for so long that it felt like my eyes were going to fall out of their sockets. They were just as beautiful as the first demigod I had ever laid eyes on. It was obvious to me that they were quadruplets from the beginning. The other men's eyes were a paler blue than the first man's, which had a deeper shade. Their hair colour was the sole distinction between them. By the way, Aurora, why did you call me? That person was who? "She's over there!" I recognised the voice shouting from a distance as my dad's guards at once. I took off sprinting. Now, having a partner wasn't my top priority. I needed to escape this terrible place known as a pack. I was suddenly stopped in my tracks as I felt a touch on my waist. The fingers tightened around my waist, causing my muscles to twitch and the hair on my back to stand. "Not so fast, Aurora!" His breath hit my earlobe, causing a tingling sensation on my skin. Uncomfortably, I cleared my throat and felt a lump suddenly lodge there. The first demigod was this one. "Please, allow me to exit. It's a question of life or death here. I pleaded. His stare flashed to something icy, and he suddenly exuded threat. "Who dares threaten you with death!" I gave a little quiver at his snarl. The sound of footfall sounded, sending a shockwave through my body, and before I knew it, Dad's bulky bodyguards had surrounded us. They all had bloodshot eyes, and there were perhaps ten of them. I was left with no options. They would catch me even if I tried to flee right now. I grip the man's hands tightly. "Please, come to my aid! These guys are after my life!" "How dare you lowlives try to touch her!?" Behind me, one of the three brothers barked. He sprang at the guards, taking down two of them in one swift move. The other two brothers quickly followed suit, joining him in tackling the guards. I looked up at my waist-holding man. He was preoccupied. Grabbing the chance, I wrenched my hands free and attempted to sprint, but he was swifter as he gripped my wrist. There was mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "What made you think I would let you go?" He inclined his head, scrutinising my visage intently. "You could just as well be an escaped thief. I believe it will be best if I fulfil my responsibilities and report to this pack's alpha. Is that his name, Nathan?" I quickly shook my head. "I'm nit a thrift, I promise!" "That's her. Get the bastard without a wolf!" There was a shout, and I heard footsteps coming from my left. "Please, help me!" With fear taking hold of my heart, I begged. "Why should I?" He posed the question nonchalantly. "I'll carry out any task you ask of me. Anything at all!" It all seemed to happen so quickly, and the next thing I knew, I was in a room. I gasped as a surge of realisation overcame me since it seemed so familiar. I swear, that was my stepmother's room. "Looks familiar?" He asked, his hand still on my wrist. "What did you do?" I stumbled. A sinister smile appeared on his lips. "Let's start with your name." He dodged. "I didn't quite catch it." "I didn't throw it!" I shot out, and for a few seconds, he appeared surprised. You have a lot of sass. I adore it, but given how easily I might report you to the guards, I don't think you should continue acting that way. You probably don't want it. He spoke in an undertone of frost, and I swallowed all I wanted to say. How on earth did he teleport us? There have been tales of werewolves who could do it, although they were supposedly extremely uncommon. It was so silent in the room that I couldn't resist stealing a glance at his exquisitely designed face. How on earth is this person hot? "So, you're wolfless, huh?" With clear wonder in his deep blue depths, he questioned. I gave a shrug. "It's kind of complicated." I spoke in a sharp tone. With an arched eyebrow, he stepped in my direction. "Complicated sounds fun, what do you think?" Now he stood before me, invading my personal space. There was only an inch between our faces. He locked eyes with me, and I wanted to take a step back, but my legs didn't seem to be working. My heart was racing in my chest, and I had no doubt that he could hear it too. His eyes followed my lips, and a sardonic smile rose a corner of his lips. My thoughts cleared as he bowed his head. Oh, beloved goddess of the moon. Will he give me a kiss? "So, are you ready to do anything I want?" His tone was uncomfortably low. It was too low to be comfortable and possessed a provocative quality. Is that what he's talking about? Not at all! I was shocked at the direction my mind went. Grabbing my wrist, he drew me into his embrace. Beneath his garments, I could feel the ridge of his muscles. However, the massive bulge I felt between his thighs was what really made me gasp. Oh my! Was he aroused? Was it me who turned him on? My hands started to itch and I felt a wave of heat rush through me. His bare skin against my fingers was what I wanted to feel. This is not how I should be feeling about a man I met a few minutes ago. I told myself that again. His hands gripped my buttocks, and I gave him a stern look. "What are you trying to do?" "If you don't like it, I could stop!" I gave a firm swallow in my throat as he spoke. "You promised to do anything I wanted if I helped you." If my body wasn't already quivering with eagerness, I would have known what he was implying and the moon goddess aided me. Already, I could feel a throbbing in my location. anything I had never experienced before. Why was I feeling this way about this dangerously attractive blues-eyed demigod? The mate relationship, perhaps? Then it occurred to me, and I grinned, thinking I was brilliant. "I said I'd do anything you wanted if you helped me get away from this pack but we are still---" Just then, he flipped me and pushed my back against the wall, so my words were stuck in my throat. He looked down at me with his left hand held just above my head. "What makes you think I can't kill you right here and now!?" He shouted, a menacing glint shining in his eyes. I could see that he was genuinely capable of such by the warning in his eyes. This man was an angel of bloodlust. Should anything like exist. But why did that make me feel so hot and bothered? "Aurora, how do you think you will redeem yourself this time around?" That was the least of my worries, yet he was yelling that name again. I had to first purify myself from his piercing stare. All I could think to say was what I said. I will lessen the protrusion between your legs.
