Chapter1 Blood dripped onto the concrete floor. Slow. Steady. Unforgiving. --- [ Devil — Establish Power & Fear] In a dark basement, a man knelt on the ground—barely alive, barely breathing. His face was unrecognizable, swollen and bruised. Blood streamed down his forehead, his lips trembling as he tried to speak. His fingers… or what remained of them… shook violently, nails ripped out, leaving behind raw flesh. “P-please… boss…” he choked. “Forgive me… I won’t do it again…” A low chuckle echoed. Cold enough to freeze blood. Rudransh Singh Rathore tilted his head slightly, watching him like one would watch a dying animal. “Of course,” he said softly. Hope flickered in the man’s eyes. Rudransh raised his gun. “You won’t repeat it.” A pause. “Because you won’t live long enough to.” The gunshot echoed. Silence followed. The body dropped. Dead. Rudransh lowered the gun, his expression unchanged. “No one survives betrayal,” he said calmly. “Not in my world.” He turned away as if nothing had happened. “Clean it.” A slight pause. “And feed him to Leo.” His voice darkened. “It’s been a while since he tasted flesh.” --- Blood washed away. Clothes changed. Expression controlled. The devil disappeared. Or maybe— He just wore a better mask. --- Miles away— Under harsh white lights, a girl stood steady, her hands precise despite the exhaustion weighing her down. Five hours. That’s how long the surgery had lasted. “Clamp.” “Scalpel.” “Vitals?” “Stable, doctor.” A final stitch. A quiet breath. “It’s done.” Pihu stepped out of the operation theatre, pulling off her gloves as she faced the anxious family. “Congratulations,” she said gently. “The surgery was successful.” Tears of relief. Folded hands. Gratitude. “Thank you so much, doctor!” She smiled softly. “No need. It’s my duty.” But the moment she turned away— The smile faded. Her body ached. Three surgeries. No proper food. Barely any rest. And yet— She kept going. Because that’s who she was. --- As she leaned back in her chair, exhaustion taking over, a thought crossed her mind— Him. A small smile appeared. “Wait a little longer, Ansh…” she whispered. “I’ll tell you soon.” --- Outside the hospital— He was already there. Waiting. Like always. Her face lit up instantly. “You’re early,” she said, tapping his shoulder. “And you’re late,” he replied, turning toward her. But his voice— Soft. Only for her. “Hey, I’m a doctor,” she argued lightly. “Are you hungry?” He didn’t wait for an answer. He opened the car door for her. She smiled faintly. He noticed everything. Too tired. Didn’t eat. Pushed herself again. “I told you to eat,” he said, irritation laced with concern. “I had surgery…” His jaw tightened. “Are you the only doctor there?” She didn’t reply. Minutes later— She was asleep. --- He glanced at her. Sleeping peacefully. Defenseless. Trusting him completely. He adjusted the AC. Pulled a blanket over her. “Silly girl,” he murmured. A rare softness in his eyes. The same man who just killed without hesitation— Now careful not to disturb her sleep. --- When they reached the mansion, he didn’t wake her. Instead— He carried her. As if she weighed nothing. As if she was something fragile. A guard stepped forward. “I’ll take—” One look. That’s all it took. The guard froze. Rudransh’s voice dropped. “No one touches her.” The guards immediately lowered their eyes. “She’s not to be looked at either.” Possessiveness. Control. Danger. Before silence could settle— A growl echoed. Leo. The white panther leaped forward, standing protectively near them, his sharp eyes fixed on the guard. Rudransh smirked. “Good boy.” Even the beast knew. She was his. --- As he placed her gently on the bed— She stirred slightly. “…Ansh…” He froze. Her fingers curled lightly into his shirt. “Don’t leave…” For the first time that night— The devil hesitated. --- ---
