Chapter FourI had the taxi drop me at the office. The office building was unlocked during business hours so, I walked in, unlocked the electronic office door, walked through, and locked it after it closed. I had no place to sleep tonight, and I had parked my car in the secure office parking. I breathed an enormous sigh of relief. We both kept changes of clothes at the office. I had my suitcases, and Peter had designed the office with a shower. I thought about our walk and subsequent conversations.
The office phone rang. She answered, “Good Morning, Sir, it’s a little early for you, isn’t it?”
Peter chuckled, “I was never so happy as when you answered. I recognized for now you were safe.”
