Chapter SixWhen we got home, we went to the bedroom, and Peter told me to take off my dress and shoes and kneel on the floor. “Vanessa, How many times?” “STOP!” I demanded. With that outburst, Peter dragged me down the hall, digging my heels into the vinyl flooring to no avail and yelling, “I will never stop protecting your reputation or you. I will never stop protecting your reputation or you.” He unlocked and opened the door. It was dark. He spoke, “Spotlight three-turn on.” A light came on, highlighting a black X. He pulled me in front of it and took my wrist, and fastened them to the X and then my ankles. “You can’t stop me from protecting you with pugrrmmfh.” Peter stuffed some ball in my mouth and tied a leather strap on the back of my head. He then put a blindfold across my eyes.
