10 Night Terrors FEBRUARY 19, 2005 - 2AM - DAY 4 The first place Sara Caine checked when searching for recent deaths was the Los Angeles County Public Health Office. Every death in Los Angeles needed to be registered with them, and she had a friend who could access their files. She took the ramp onto the 101 freeway, the lights of downtown Los Angeles on the horizon. Midnight on a Tuesday and the 101 had enough cars on it for traffic to bog down to a crawl. Her contact, a computer whiz named Ritchie, would be just getting going. Sara and Ritchie crossed paths numerous times at local waterholes downtown. The community was a small one. When she heard how good he was on computers, she approached him to work on a job with her. She drove onto the Spring Street exit and headed for the Arts
