I shot up in bed, gasping for air as the breath escaped my lungs. My body was drenched in sweat and I could barely breathe. I took several staggered breaths before my chest started to fall up and down rapidly. I knew I needed to calm down, but I wasn't sure if it were possible. This was the first time I had ever had a dream this vivid. The timeline didn't seem to match, as I knew for a fact that I had never been anywhere in my life. The décor within the castle didn't look like anything from around here, and there were three castles in close proximity to each other. Not to mention the colors drew me to the area, but that didn't mean it wasn't old-fashioned.
