Chapter 3 - A New Creature

1769 Words
(Thunderclouds...Lightning strikes)...(A voice in the background) Skull...Dust...Blood...Scars! Not once has the darkness been conquered, not once did the red skies become clear...for the land so barren filled with trees, flowers so withered away and the soil so hot like the fire from the dawn of creation. A kingdom ruled by a supreme ruler where no one ever goes against his wishes. The ancient kingdom...the land of misery...the Kingdom of CHAOS!!!(Lightning strikes). (Voice slowly fades away)... News was brought to Death regarding the prisoner he held captive. A skeleton soldier knocks at Death's door...."My King! I seek an audience. There's a report that requires your attention" He said. Death ordered his guards to let him in. The soldier was scared about how his ruler would react about the current situation so he humbled himself and bowed before him choosing his words carefully. "Oh Death the beloved Ruler of Chaos! The immortal soul of darkness and the Supreme King of the dead." Death sat down and asked him why he rushed over to his abode. " My king! The human is no more" He said lowering his gaze. Death stood up upon hearing this and walked closer to him. "What do you mean?" Death replied in a devilish tone. The skeleton soldier was trembling upon hearing his voice. He was aware he could not show any weakness to Death or he wouldn't like what would come next. "I suddenly heard her scream where we placed her in chains and cage...when I got in, I found her in a pool of blood with her body scattered all around. None of it could be recognised as it was all burnt beyond recognition" the skeleton soldier said in a fearsome tone. Death was furious with the report he had gotten but he knew there was nothing he could do about it since he does not wield a the power of Life. That is the only weakness he possesses despite having so many abilities. He returned to his seat and heaved a heavy sigh....he was dissapointed as he had plans of his own in which he needed the human. "Dispose of her!" He said furiously. The skeleton soldier obeyed him without any resistance nor interruption and left his presence. As soon as he left, Death scattered his place in anger. " That was my only way out! The blood of Windsom was my only way out!!!" He yelled out loudly. A few %^&$$# Later.... Anna's burnt body was brought over to the Pit. (Note: The Pit is a place in Chaos where dead bodies are placed to decay away). The skeleton soldiers threw her into the pit and returned. However, someone was hiding behind a huge stone watching them as they carried out their business. After the soldiers left, he snuck out and walked over to the edge of the Pit. "It's not too late...there's still life in her but barely. I have to save her" the stranger said in a concerned manner. He brought out the burnt body and wrapped it up in white glowing silk. "You're going to be fine Anna..you will be" He said as he carried her burnt body and carefully left the Pit. Meanwhile, Death had summoned all of his subjects into a royal gathering in order to discuss his next course of action. "I see you have all gathered" Death said in a devilish tone while he sat on his throne and held his Scythe. "I know you all must've been curious about our uninvited guest." They all looked at one another. Death stood up and hit his Scythe on the ground...immediately everywhere became dark like there was never a source of light. They all bowed before him. "The human was our only way out and she died right in the dungeons. Such would not be accepted...Scourge every sector and territory! Find out who killed my prisoner and bring his head before me!" Death commanded his army with a cold look in his eyes. They naturally knew their King was furious. They all obeyed his command and began the search. Azazel came forward and bowed before him. He said: "My King, I shall return to the barren lands and keep watch over our Kingdom". Death sat down and ordered him to do so. Azazel left his presence. Death was all alone bust suddenly he started hearing Whispers and claw movements all around him. "Who dares stand before the immortal ruler of Chaos?!" Death said in a devilish tone as he gripped his Scythe firmly. "Finally! my time has come! I've waited for two thousand years...my patience is finally rewarded!" A woman in a ripped dress covered in blood walked out of the darkness. Her hair looked like stacks of needle and her claws were as long and sharp as sharpened blades. Death laughed hysterically and stood up from his throne. "You wish to end me?" He said while he dragged his Syche on the ground and walked towards her making a scary noice enough to intimidate anyone. "After all these years, you finally walked up to me. You hid in your barrows so why have you come now? Were you waiting for the moment where my army was no longer by my side? Are you finally ready to die Althea?" He asked while emitting a powerful Aura strong enough to make his opponents yield in fear. (Note: Althea is one of the witches of the Hallows. They once believed in Death and used to rever him until he destroyed them all leaving only Althea to live in fear. It was a show of his supremacy over two thousand years ago). "You took everything from me! I'm now a monster and I can't even use witchcraft anymore. I was cursed...everything dies when I pass by. I don't belong anywhere and it's all because of you!!!" Althea replied Death in an angry manner. She had been harnessing her hatred for Death over two thousand years that she could no longer see anyone except her goal. Death was her Salvation. She ran towards Death ready to strike him but she never expected what happened next. "Aztēk!" Death suddenly shouted while he pointed his Scythe at her. (Note: Aztēk is a huge mythical snake who is loyal to Death and serves him without questioning his orders). Althea immediately knew she had lost the battle . She immediately fell to her knees losing all hope of having her revenge. A huge black snake with golden eyes which possessed the wings and scale of a dragon suddenly emerged from Death's cloak and jumped fiercely at Althea. It ripped her apart and threw various parts of her across the hall. Her blood moved towards Death himself and he absorbed it. Death returned to his throne and sat on it as he watched her get eaten by the Great Snake. "Separate her Liver and her heart, she will make a nice piece of experiment" He said in a devilish tone. A few %^&$$# Later.... "Why is this happening to me? Why do I have to go through this?" She cried a lot why holding her hand to her chest. In that moment, her skin started peeling, her muscles were tearing apart and blood was gushing down like a fountain of water. Her eyes began to bleed out and her eyeballs popped out. Her hair started falling off and her bones cracked like she was about to transform. Anna screamed in agony as the pain was so intense. Her neck suddenly sliced open and blood started pouring down. She held her hands on to it and started gasping for air. Anna suddenly woke up from the nightmare she was having. She was sweating profusely as she gasped for air. The stranger who rescued her suddenly ran to her and pat her in the back "Calm down Anna, it was just a nightmare. You're okay" the stranger reassured her. Anna finally regained control of her mind. Her vision became clear as she looked around her and noticed she was in a cave. There was a campfire and right in front of her was a blonde-haired man with blue eyes who looked too handsome to be real. The cave looked like it was a hideout that has been used for several years. She was lost in thought as the man called her name several times but she didn't respond. "Anna!Anna! Is everything alright?" The man said as he held her right hand. Anna came back to reality and looked directly into his eyes as she saw he was sincerely worried about her. "Do you know me?" Anna asked with a curious look. She also noticed she was completely healed and there was not one trace of scar on her body. "What happened to me? I'm sure my body was ripped apart...I should've.." The man interrupted before she completed her statement. "Yes, you did die. Your body was burnt and all torn apart but there was still a source of Life left so I figured it was not late for you. I wonder why that was possible though. You seem so..human" He said as he tried to understand what kind of creature she was but he was convinced she was human. Anna was surprised as soon as she heard this but she was more concerned out the identity of the man who had saved her life. The man stood up and walked towards the campfire. He took a rusted sword on the ground and equipped his bow and arrow which were quite rusted also. He had about ten arrows left which made it seem like he was a warrior who had just returned from war. "I'll be right back....take a lot of rest and stay away from the cave walls. You're safe as long as you heed my words." He said as he walked towards the entrance. Anna stood up and suddenly called out to him: "I'm really grateful for everything you have done for me but who are you? And how do you know my name?" The man smiled at her and suddenly damaged huge wings emerged from his back. They were tainted with blood stains. "I'm an Angel of the Lord" The man replied in a calm manner with a soothing voice. Anna was speechless upon hearing this as she knew her life was now going to be more complicated than it already was. She smiled and cried the same time with a lot of emotions running through her in that moment. "I'm glad I never gave up on life" She said with a sad look on her face.
