Vinie let out another deep breath and nodded slowly. “Alright. I’ll think about it.” “That’s all I ask,” I said. I exhaled and stepped back, running a hand through my hair. “I should get going. I have somewhere I need to be.” Vinie raised a brow. “You’re always running off somewhere.” I smirked slightly. “Comes with the job.” He let out a dry chuckle and shook his head. “Do you need a ride, or are you stealing one of my cars?” “Stealing? No. Borrowing? Yes.” I glanced at the keys on his desk. “Lend me one for the day?” Vinie didn’t even hesitate. “Take whatever you want.
