Chapter 7

807 Words
“Hannah is that you?” my mother called out as I was closing the front door. I looked into the living room and saw that no one was there. “Yeah it’s me mom, are you in the kitchen” I said back, making my way to the kitchen either way. “Yeah, your dad needs you in the meeting room, so go on ahead up there” she said back while making her way to the meeting room also. I wonder what’s going on. We’re not called to meeting room unless there is something, we all need to know. Maybe my father finally chooses his successor. It’s probably gonna be my oldest brother Xavier. Hopefully, this is fast, I really want to start working on my new upgrades. Upon entering into the meeting room, I saw everyone in their regular sits, and the guest that we had. I realized it was the Robinson clan. I also realized that my regular sit was occupied and the only one was in between both sets of my parents. “Hannah, I know you have heard of the Robinson, this is my daughter” my dad said pointing to me. I remained standing because I didn’t know where to sit. “So, this is the daughter that people have heard of” Malcolm Robinson said. I’ve looked into the Robinson clan, but I’ve never had an encounter with them. “Come sit Hannah” my uncle said with a smile. I looked confused at first, but quickly covered it up and walked over and took the sit. “Now that everyone is here, we shall discuss business” my dad said in his business tone. I looked to my brothers and they all had looks of pride. I looked further and saw that the Jefferson and Michaelson families looked proud to. “Hannah you shall take over both the Williams and Shelby clans and make them one. You are to do this with honor and pride. I step down knowing that the mafia and family is in good hands.” My parents looked at me with the biggest smiles. I just smiled back, but I didn’t want this. I looked at Xavier expecting him to be mad, but it was the opposite. He looked so proud, everyone had smiles on their faces. “Excuse me for being rude, but I never got your names.” I said to the six gentlemen in the room, that weren’t normally here. “I’m Malcolm, and this is Joe, Myles, Michael, Myca, and Bryce” he said pointing down the line. I nodded at each individual as their names were said. “And what’s the reason for you being here today” I said getting straight to business. I don’t like to beat around the bush when it comes to anything. “We’re here for intel” Bryce said. I raised my eyebrows and looked at each man. There was no emotion on there faces. I smiled and they returned them. “What are you really here for. If it were intel you wouldn’t have men around the block, and one wouldn’t be trying to find a way into my technology locker as we speak” I replied looking right at Malcolm the current boss of the Robinson mafia. They all looked surprised. “You really are as good as they say” Myles said. I showed no emotion and honestly, I wasn’t impressed with them. “You’re wasting my time, get to the point. I have actual things I need to do today.” I said with a blank face. I already knew what they were here for. “You are the successor to the Robinson clan, Hannah” Malcolm said with the same blank face. I looked at him for 10 seconds. “Why, you have children right next to you. What makes me your successor?” I was chosen because his children are incapable of leading. They’re cold blooded killers that only know how to follow orders, not give them. “We chose you because of your skills. You already lead and were born into the largest mafia in the world. So why not add another. We follow you know.” Michael said. I looked around the room and got up. I needed to process this. I didn’t want any of this to happen. The mafia is my family, but I didn’t want to lead it. The means more threats and less freedom, but I wasn’t gonna let that stop me. I would make it work, it’s in my blood to lead. “If that’s all then you’re all free to go. No one bother me for the next 3 hours. If you do, you’ll become a test dummy for my bullets.” I stated walking out of the room. I immediately went to my technology room and began working. Everyone has there way of calming down and process things. Mine is running and guns. Either let me run it out or put me in a room with a gun and some tech and I’ll be good. This is my life now and I just have to accept it.
