Chapter 10

Ethan I kept my eyes on the moving cars outside the window. The question hung in the quiet room as I felt Adrian slowly approach. Adrian’s voice came from behind me, steady but lower than before. “No. I did not know he was your ex. He never used your name. I only learned it when I saw the two of you in the hallway just now.” I turned around. My legs still felt shaky. “You expect me to believe that? He was your patient. You sat with him the same way you sat with me. You heard his stories. And somehow my name never came up?” Adrian leaned against the wall close to the window, now facing me. His shoulders looked tight under the shirt. “Patients talk about many things. He talked about a past relationship that ended badly. He never said the name Ethan. I had no reason to connect it to you until five minutes ago.” I took one step closer. “How convenient.” “It is the truth.” His eyes held mine without looking away. “I am not going to stand here and lie to you after everything else.” The air between us felt thicker now. I could still smell the faint sandalwood on his clothes. My pulse had not slowed. “You kissed me a few hours ago,” I said. “You asked me to come back. And now my ex walks out of this same room. How am I supposed to process that?” Adrian moved closer. Each step was slow. He stopped right in front of me. His chest rose and fell with a deeper breath. The calm therapist was gone from his face. Something hungrier sat in its place. He looked like he was a predator waiting to devour its prey. His voice dropped. “What do you want from me right now, Ethan? An apology? More explanations? Or do you want something else?” The words sent a spark through me but I did not pull away. Adrian leaned in until his mouth was close to my ear. His breath warmed the side of my neck. “I know you liked me,” he whispered. “I saw it. In the way you looked at me during sessions when you thought I was not watching. In the way your voice changed when we talked at night. You wanted this long before today.” I swallowed. “You do not know that.” “I do.” He stayed close to my ear. “Tell me I am wrong.” I stayed silent. My hands stayed at my sides. He pulled back just enough to look at my face. “Then let me decide for a minute.” “Adrian…” “Quiet for now.” The command was soft but clear. “Unless you want me to stop. Do you want me to stop?” “No.” “Good.” he growled. He leaned in and kissed me. The kiss was not careful. His lips claimed mine with clear intent. I tasted the same faint mint as before. His hand settled on my waist and pulled me against him. The solid line of his body pressed into mine. I could feel the heat of him through our clothes. I kissed him back. My hands rose and gripped the front of his shirt. The kiss deepened by the second. His tongue brushed against mine, exploring my mouth. He broke the kiss just enough to speak against my mouth. “You have thought about this, have you not?” “Yes,” I admitted. “How many times?” “Too many.” A low sound left his throat. He walked me backward until the backs of my legs met the edge of the bed. Forcing me to sit while he stayed standing, looking down at me. “Lie back,” he said. I moved up the mattress and lay against the pillows. Adrian followed. He braced himself over me with one hand beside my head. His other hand slid under my shirt. His warm palm against bare skin. I arched into the touch. “Sensitive here,” he murmured, fingers spreading over my ribs. “I like that.” He pushed the shirt up slowly and pulled it over my head. Cool air touched my chest. Then his mouth replaced it. He kissed down the center of my sternum. “Tell me what you fantasized,” he said between kisses. “I want to hear it.” My face burned. “Your mouth and maybe your hands. You telling me what to do.” “Like this?” He bit lightly at the skin just above my waistband. I made a small sound that sounded like a whimper instead. “Yes.” He looked up. His eyes were darker. “Still yes to more?” “Yes.” He unbuttoned my jeans slowly. The sound of the zipper was loud in the quiet room. My mind started to feel hazy. This was the moment I had thought about alone so many times. His hands. His attention. I swallowed hard in anticipation of my long awaited fantasy was about coming to past. He tugged the jeans and underwear down together. I lifted my hips to help. Cool air touched my c**k as it sprang out, standing. It was already hard and heavy against my stomach. Adrian’s eyes stayed on me for a long second taking me in with his eyes. “Look at you,” he said, voice low. “Already like this for me.” He wrapped his hand around me. The first touch of his palm was warm and firm. He stroked me from base to tip, slow and sure. A sharp breath left my lungs. “You get quiet when you feel too much,” he said. “I noticed that weeks ago. In the office. In the messages. You go still right before you break.” I could only nod. He stroked me again, slower this time. “Use your words, Ethan. Tell me how it feels.” “Good,” I managed. “Too good.” “Only too good?” He tightened his grip just a little. “I think you can do better than that.” “It feels… f**k. Your hand is so warm.” “Better.” He leaned down and kissed the inside of my thigh. “I am going to put my mouth on you now. You are going to stay still. Understood?” “Yes.” “If you need me to stop, you say so. Otherwise you take what I give you.” I nodded again. My breathing was already uneven. He kissed higher on my thigh. His breath ghosted over the base of my c**k. The suspense pulled every muscle in my stomach tight. I gripped the sheets. “Please,” I heard myself say. “Please what?” “Your mouth. Please.” A small, pleased sound left him. “Since you asked nicely.” He lowered his head and took me into his mouth. It was warm and so wet. The sudden heat made my hips jerk. His hand pressed my hip back down against the mattress, holding me in place. “Stay still,” he said after pulling off for a second. “I mean it.” I forced my hips to stay down. He took me in again. His tongue pressed along the underside. He took me deeper, then pulled back to the tip and did it again. The rhythm was controlled. Every time I tried to move, his hand kept me still. The restriction only made the pleasure sharper. A low, broken sound left my throat. He pulled off again. “That noise. I like it. Make it again.” He took me back into his mouth and worked me with the same steady attention. I made the sound again without meaning to. It sounded rough, open, a little desperate. “Good,” he murmured against my skin. “You sound so good when you stop holding back.” He kept the pace slow and deliberate. My thighs started to tense. Sweat gathered at my temples. The wet heat of his mouth surrounded me completely for long seconds at a time. “Adrian…” My voice cracked. He pulled off and stroked me with his hand instead, still firm and slow. “Not yet. You do not get to come until I say. Understand?” I stared up at him, breathing hard. “Yes.” “Say it.” “I do not get to come until you say.” “Good boy.” The words were soft and filthy at the same time. He leaned down and kissed me, letting me taste myself on his tongue. “We are just getting started.”
