02: Who The Hell Wears Pink. Big Girls Cry; Sia. Thea brought my lunch's dessert in my room, with all the grace and love that I wouldn't receive from anyone else in this house. "Chocolate donut and this cocktail, ma'am." I smiled brightly as I thanked her, as well as scolding her for not calling me by my name. I didn't like being called ma'am because it made me feel old and Thea was more than just someone who cleans, in my life. Ironically, my life is what she cannot clean. "Yes, yes, sure," She chuckled, like always. She kept the tray of food on my neat bed before she walked to the large windows to pull the curtains to the side and hence, allowing light to flood into the room. "Such a beautiful day, ma'am - I mean, Rhianna", She exclaimed with a small smile as she stared outside. From my room, I had a great view of the backyard - though it was more like an empty garden. However, the huge bluish-purple Flamboyant tree always made it look so lively, along with the birds who made nests in the tree. Their chirps would bless my day with a different kind of hope - the one that stops you from giving up. I chuckled, finding it weird to hear Thea talk like the type of person who looks forward to sunny days. "Did Ray say something to you?" Thea turned rapidly to look at me, with a tomato-face - her eyes widened with surprise and her ears turned red. "Ma'a - Rhianna, maybe you should eat your donut. Your juice will not taste amazing when not cold anymore." She mumbled in a quiet voice, trying not to smile and keep her serious and sober expression. "I feel the love, you know," I teased, taking a sip of the warm coffee. The liquid acted like drugs to my body as it made all my senses wake up, on the alert for this new day. And believe me, Leo, the cook, made the best homemade cocktail. And any food as well.  "He only said that I was looking gorgeous," Thea blushed as she repeated what Ray told her. She was so cute at the moment that I wanted to take a picture and later on, show it to Ray. Raymond, our bachelor butler - mostly known as Ray, had so much love for Thea. You could feel the love vibes from a mile. Just kidding. But, stepping in the same room as both was enough to make you feel like the third wheel. I tried to knock some senses in Ray and try to take Thea out for a dinner or something but he wouldn't. See, why I had to knock some senses? 'Cause he ain't got any. Until one day, Thea asked him to go to the cinema with her and dinner as well. However since then, nothing more happened. I tried asking both what happened that day but no one would tell me. They remained friends, and still are. It was all a matter of time, right? "And?" I grinned as I took a bite from my donut. "And nothing more," She answered with disappointment in her voice. But she quickly hid it with a layer of joy. "He's sweet," I smiled. "And you know what I love about him?" Thea shook her head with a frown. I let out a small humourless chuckle, "He knows how important you are, he knows your worth and yet, thinks you deserve someone better without realising that he is the best you could have. You're lucky, Thea."  She rolled her eyes. "Everyone is --," She managed to say before a loud voice echoed outside my bed room.  I glanced at Thea and sighed. Quietly, I walked to the door with Thea by my side. Immediately, she rushed out to see what was happening while I stayed inside and listened to Aaron's tantrums. He acted more baby-ish than babies. "I am very sorry sir. I'll get you another one," Thea's voice shook with fright as she spoke to Aaron. "Fine," he half-yelled. "Now. Quick." Instantly, I heard the sound of footsteps going down the stairs. Silence filled the whole floor and I could hear profanities swim out of Aaron's mouth. But one sentence caught all my attention and sent my heart beating faster, "who the hell wears pink." I bit my lips as I mentally scolded myself when I understood what must have happened. I had put my pink blouse to wash, in the same washing session of Aaron's clothes. He hated when others' clothes would mingle with his. Well, I wasn't 100% at fault. I didn't ask the shirt to bleed all its colouring and stain the white ones of Aaron, right? Maybe, I should have been more careful but I couldn't care less. Aaron tore my dress apart when Thea, by sheer mistake, had kept it in his cupboard. It was a royal blue dress, offered to me by my mother. And I really loved that one.  Now we were fair. 1-1. I grinned as I felt accomplished. However, just then, my hands accidentally turned the doorknob and it flashed open in no second, making me literally fall out of my room.  This house hates me, I mentally groaned as I cursed it. I was about to rush back into the room, hoping that Aaron did not see me or that he was already in his room when his voice exploded in my ears, "You."  I lifted my gaze - though my cute panda slippers were much more interesting - and saw his face for the second time. He pointed his finger at me and oye boy, you can't accuse me of what your washing machine does! Seriously, was it my fault if my clothes wanted to kiss his clothes? Nope. Was I the one to blame if Aaron's clothes were like him - seducing my clothes and then accidents happen? Did his shirt get my blouse pregnant? His cheeks and ears were flushed lightly which was a sign that he was angry. Like always. I wonder if he was hulk. Seriously, he was always furious about something or the other. I rolled my eyes, knowing that he would now yell at me and blame me bla bla bla. "Sorry?" I muttered loud enough in an innocent voice as I stood straight, head high. Can't let my tiara fall now, can I? Tiara of the Queen of Bitches, my inner devil exclaimed with happiness. A smirk slowly crawled onto my face before I realised that Aaron would assume something else and create more stories to accuse me of. Instantly, I wiped it off my face and put on my neutral expression. "You wear pink," He stated as he looked at me, straight in the eye. "And?" I crossed my hands over my chest. This meant war! "Your fu-," "Sir, here you are," Thea spoke as she climbed the stairs in a haste with a clean shirt, perfectly ironed, in her hand. Aaron glared at me, and somehow I felt that he was telling me that this discussion was not over. Not yet. Thea looked at me, trying to understand what was I doing in front of her boss. Usually, I would hid in my room to avoid any confrontation. I huffed and walked back to my room with an attitude level, reaching the sky. Ta na na, dramatic music on. I tripped over the carpet which was outside my room, and immediately held onto the doorknob for support. Without sparing a look at Thea or Aaron, I slipped into the room and closed the door behind. Well, that was -  Heated. With. Embarassment. "Whatever," I mumbled under my breath. I trotted to my bed and grabbed my phone which just received a notification.  Serena: Yesterday I saw Aaron with Camilla. At the bar. Close enough. :c A pang of hurt crashed into my heart as I read the message again, and again. So, it was Camilla in his room. It must be. I bit my lips, trying not to let the tears out. Camilla, my friend. Well. And you know what hurts more? The fact that she lied to me, saying that she would spend the whole night revising for the forthcoming exams. I really needed to ask Camilla her definition of revision. She was one among those friends who knew I was married with Aaron O'conell. She knew but she slept with him? That's nice.  Note the sarcasm, please. While I thought I was done with enough drama in high school, this third year in university proved proved to be worse; I got married, he hates me, my bestie slept with my husband and what was next to come? Hopefully I'd be alive to see my 21st birthday, if these melodramatic moments don't end up killing me.
