"Jace?" I heard someone gasp from the door and I quickly disentangled myself from Jace already cursing myself for letting things escalate so quickly,
"What are you doing here?" Jace asked breathlessly, I slowly lifted my head, my eyes landing on Jace before landing on her petite figure by the door, Catherine, if anything didn't give us away the hard-on Jace was currently sporting definitely did the work,
"I was looking for you" she murmured, a certain emotion in her voice I couldn't identify,
"For what exactly, you shouldn't be here to start with, last I checked this is a family event and you are not family" Jace shot at her but I didn't miss the way he was using his body to protect me from her wandering eyes,
"Your Dad invited me, he said Luke is family" she replied cast
