Veric did indeed stay one night at the woman's rented room, and as promised, he gave her a gold coin.
"It's not just wizards who love power, but humans too," Veric thought to himself.
Veric still remembered how happy the woman looked when she received the gold coin, and how her attitude had changed for the better.
"I'm sorry, my rented room is elementary. You must not be used to living in poverty," she said as she sat down next to Veric.
"It's okay, the most important thing is that I can sleep peacefully here," replied Veric.
"My name is Lucia, what's your name?" asked Lucia.
"Veric," replied Veric briefly.
"Can I ask you something before we go to sleep?" she continued.
"Go ahead, I'm not sleepy yet," Lucia replied with a smile.
"Do you know about Zaxnke Hill?" asked Veric.
"I've heard of it. It's in the desert. It's remote and hazardous," replied Lucia.
"How dangerous do you mean?" said Veric.
"They say the place is guarded by several powerful people. Many people visit there for misguided reasons, such as seeking wealth or supernatural powers. But because their intentions are bad, they never return," explained Lucia.
"I don't know for sure if they disappeared or were killed, but from what I've heard, they disappeared mysteriously," she continued.
"Okay, I understand. What kind of vehicle is suitable to go there?" asked Veric casually.
"Oh my god, do you want to go there? Aren't you afraid of disappearing?" said Lucia with a surprised look on her face.
"I'm not afraid, because I have an essential purpose," replied Veric.
"What is your purpose?" asked Lucia hesitantly.
"I want to drink water there," Veric replied casually.
"Are you serious? Don't joke around!" Lucia, annoyed by Veric's answer, immediately hit Veric on the back.
"But I'm telling the truth," Veric grumbled to himself.
"Never mind, just tell me what kind of vehicle is suitable to go there?" asked Veric.
"Here, I'll give you another gold coin," he continued, giving Lucia another gold coin.
"Thank you. You need to take a plane and go to the airport. Visit the country of Nefag for more information. I don't know anything else," explained Lucia.
"Alright. I understand," replied Veric.
"Is this rich man on a mission? Or does he have bad intentions? But whatever it is, I can't stop him. He has given me many benefits," Lucia said to herself.
"It seems like it's already too late. I want to rest my body, and you need to rest too. Thank you for all the explanations," said Veric.
Lucia cleared her throat softly, then got up from her seat. "I also thank you for giving me a lot of money."
"No problem, we both benefit," said Veric.
Lucia then left Veric and went into her room.
Veric had left Lucia's rented room and was on his way to the airport. Of course, Lucia helped Veric by calling an online taxi to take him to the airport.
"Lucia said that many people who go there don't make it back alive. That's because they have the wrong intentions," Veric thought to himself.
"Hopefully, when I get there, there won't be any problems," he continued.
"Sir, we've arrived at the airport." Veric nodded and got out of the taxi.
Lucia had already paid with her money, so Veric didn't have to pay with the gold coin.
Lucia also helped Veric exchange the gold coin for cash so that Veric would have cash on hand.
"I just have to tell the officer that my destination is the country of Nefag and give him this book," Veric said.
"It cost me three gold coins just to make this little book," he continued.
When Veric arrived in the country of Nefag, he began to unfold the map that Xiof had given him.
"Oh my, it looks like I still have a long way to go. It will probably take another week if I use a fast vehicle," Veric grumbled with a frustrated look on his face.
"I can't give up. No matter how far and dangerous the place is, I have to get there," he continued in a firm voice.
There were also some areas where there were no vehicles, so Veric would have to walk.
Veric also had to pass through the forest several times.
"Luckily, I brought some deadly poisonous weapons. These can protect me in an emergency," said Veric.
"I can't walk anymore. My body is fatigued. It's better if I rest here." Veric then chose to sit under a large tree.
Veric was still in the forest, and it would soon be dark. But because he was so exhausted, he decided to rest.
Veric couldn't rest peacefully. "I'm very thirsty and hungry."
Even Veric's face had turned pale.
"If only I had magic, I would have turned this grass into delicious food," Veric muttered.
Veric closed his eyes, but his thirst and hunger only increased.
"Why did I forget to buy food first?" Veric grumbled.
"I have to find food around here," he continued.
Veric slowly walked to find food in the forest.
"Finally, I found food and water here," said Veric with a smile.
After eating, Veric fell asleep for a while. Only after feeling less tired did he continue his journey.
After more than seven days, Veric finally arrived at the desert.
"Oh my god, it's so hot here. And I have to climb to get to Zaxnke Hill," said Veric with a frustrated look on his face.
Veric tried to encourage himself, thinking that with the supplies he had now, he would definitely be able to reach Zaxnke Hill.
"This fatigue will surely yield good results. I have to believe in myself, that I am capable," Veric said to himself.
"Finally, I've arrived at Zaxnke Hill, and this must be the sacred spring that Master Xiof was referring to," Veric said enthusiastically as he stared at the sacred spring.
Veric walked closer, but his body was immediately thrown back as someone attacked him.
"Get out of here, young man! You must have bad intentions. And don't you dare touch that sacred spring," said someone.
