I was not used to being in a hospital setting and my teaching doctor said that the coronavirus as struck.
I was in shock when I did my rounds to find a familiar face in one of the rooms. He looked frailer then his geeky self. And there was a woman a woman waiting for him to recover.
“Hi Starry,” he struggle to say. I did not know if it was Covid or his embarrassment. “The rabies Vic was a Covid-19 Vic. I am sorry.”
It was hard not to show emotion. He was suffering.
“You the doctors, yes” the woman said accusingly.
“Yes I am in med school but my name is Tiffany Hoover”
“Then you know I was his girlfriend….. depending on if he keeps making love to you.” raised her voice “I might pull every hair off your head and walk out on him.”
“Your name”
“Elena the b***h Mackenzie”
“Mind your language”
She slapped me and then stormed out. She screamed “Hoover I want to kick your ass”
“Annie….please don’t tell me your already in” I begged. “I want to spend all the time I have with you in case you die.”
I looked at him with a sad love and them ended up climbing into his bed. He put his arm around me and kissed me. “Annie you don’t have much time left.”
I told him that he wasn’t going to make it over the night.
“You have a lovely bed side manner.”
I cried for most of the night for one that he made die the second that Elena Mackenzie.
Soon my teaching doctor disgusted when and woke me up.
“Get out or kiss your career good bye”
What I might be expelled.

I started to weep. When he was yelling at me.

“Can you explain the pictures on his phone we found on him.”

I walked into the room and found that Annie was alive but he was raspy voiced and sickly. He was a shell of who he was.

I ran away as my teaching doctor told him to isolated for 14 days. I didn’t care if he was alive i want him in solitary for the rest of his life for being adulterous with me.
As I ran away I heard him scream starry. I was no longer his starry.
Later I went to get him home care and told my teaching doctor.
Then still sobbing I ran to the hospital morgue and cried. Not knowing that someone was hanging out.
There was another med student a girl who looked like she was either psycho and or stoned. When she asked me if I was new. That craggy voice said it all.
“Yes”
“Names Chelsea, second year pathology student. I was inyou position and put succinylcholine in some patients. I am lesbian does this bother you.”

She came up to me flirtatiously asked that I had been with a man.
“They’re dirty starry”

“The coroner.”
“Yes”
She came up flirtatiously touching me kissed me deeply. “Humph, I like you starry.
“What do I do about Annie”
“If I were you I poison him” spooky said resting her head on my shoulder. “I will help you.”
“Ok”
This I was going to regret killing my love Annie. Besides I was pregnant with his baby. A girl, who I named love. I wanted to cry but spooky would yell at me.
