Rametheus The Soft Son

In Ocleans million years ago in Planet Ocleus

"King Excelion have mercy on us ....."

"You're a disgrace to our kind. Murderers !!!!"

Cried and begging for mercy…

"You killed my brother Serion and now you beg for my mercy. You don’t deserve even a tiny percentage of my mercy. What you deserve is to die."

"We didn't kill counselor Serion. We never kill anyone king. Counselor Serion was ...."

"Enough of your lies. Rametheus kill them! Kill these bastards. Punish these murderers and traitors. So that no one will attempt to follow their doings."

"Father? ..”

"Rametheus, not this time. Please throw your soft side and start being a son of me. Prove them that your my son. Your my son either you or Hyatus will be a supremacy king someday. You must act now as a king. Now sentence them to death!"

"But father we have no evidence that they killed alto (uncle) Serion. We should take them to trial."

"Rametheus don't you remember that building an army and plan a revolution is punishable of death? These Ocleans did that. So pick up your gun and shoot them all."

"But father some of them are young. They didn't know what they did. Please have mercy on them."

"Are you out of your mind Rametheus? Are you really my son? Are you the son of supremacy king? Stop explicating and act that your my bloodline! Shoot them! Punish who killed your alto Serion."

Excelion handed his plasma gun to Rametheus.

"Shoot them!"

Panic Rametheus took his father's gun. Rametheus knew that he had no choice in that situation but to obey his father’s order. Rametheus did not point the gun then suddenly someone took it behind him.

Rametheus was shocked when he saw Hyatus shooting them one by one. All of them was pulverized.

"Hyatus? Nooo! ..."

"I know you can't do what father wants you to do so I just do it for you. I'm doing it as a favor."

Hyatus smiled to his brother.

"Hyatus, why did you interfere what I told to your brother?"

Excelion asked his son.

"Father don't you see, Rametheus will never punish those traitors. Look at him he is pale like a clouds. Until now you still don't realize that Rametheus is soft?"

"I know he's afraid, he's not ready yet. That's why I'm teaching him."

"Even you scream at him, he will never kill or punish anyone. He is different from us."

"So why don't you teach him to be like you. Teach him to face his weakness, so that you will no longer intervene his job like this."

"Father Rametheus is soft, just learn to accept that. He will never like me nor like you. He's soft like mother. He's like our Oracles that fall of compassion, wisdom or whatever word you called that soft weak Ocleans."

Rametheus defend.

"I’m not soft! I just want to be fair to all. Not because we were in power or in  supremacy then we are free to do whatever we want. We should see what our people needs instead of regulate violence and create fear to them."

Rametheus replied to his brother.

"See father. See what’s Rame's reason. He never think about alto's death. He talks nonsense. Is that what future a supremacy king be like?"

"I care about alto Serion’s death that's why we should first send them to trial so that we will know who killed alto."

"Stop this nonsense reasoning Rametheus just please go ... Please have some respect for your alto Serion death."

Rametheus ran away from his father.

After a while.

"My love I heard about what happen earlier? Please don't be so hard on Rametheus."

Erin talks to his husband.

"This is the reason why our son is soft Erin, you make him that. I want to be our sons to be like me. To be strong and has the character to be a supremacy king one day."

"Rametheus is strong Excelion. Maybe he’s not like Hyatus but his knowledge and wisdom is beyond your expectation. I hope you see that. If he will be a king someday maybe you will be proud of him. I know his leadership can make a change in this planet."

Erin until now you still hoping for a change to this planet? We are born in supremacy and dominance. Long year before this is what our planet do. And yet you still not accepting this? "

"I know but."

"We are running out of time Erin, change is not our priority now, you knew we never yet find any habitable planet for us. What if we go to another planet and they will be hard on us? Is kindness can help us? No! That’s why we must stick of what our nature. Be strong and dominant so that no want will underestimate us.

"We have this enormous intelligence Excelion. This is what our treasure. This is the key for our supremacy. All I’m asking is to less our violence."

"What if they are more intelligent than us or strong than us? Erin trust me I know what is good for our son and to our people. I know earlier is brutal. Killing those young Ocleans was not in my list but if I will forgive them , someone will do it again. They killed my brother. His wife Sierra and son Alastar were mourned by his death. I can't forgive them. I just can't. "

"I am saddened for Serion’s death but Excelion we aren’t sure that they are the one who killed him."

"Please my queen enough. Okay? Lets stop discussing this."

Erin saw in her husband’s face a sadness of what happened to his brother Serion so she decide to stop talking and instead hug him.

Meanwhile Rametheus was eaten by his conscience. He was saddened by the death of his alto Serion but he felt bad for what happened to the young Ocleans who were shot by Hyatus. He knew that it was an unfair justice. There is no evidence that they killed Serion. Rametheus talked to that group, they just wanted to have a fair life, so they formed a group because some of them were suffering of greed for power. This is what his father did not know that one of his counselors in supremacy was evil.

"Can I enter son?"

Erin ask for his son permission.

Rametheus did not answer. Erin knew her son needed her so she get inside.

"I'm weak, I'm soft, mother."

Rametheus cries.

Erin hugged her son.

"You are not weak. Please forgive your father. He was just devastated by your alto Serion’ death.

"I know but he’s correct, I am weak. I am not like him. I will not be a king. How I am I supposed to defend those weak if I’m also weak? Maybe if I’m like Hyatus I can be a king someday and father will be proud of me. "

"Trust me your strong Rametheus."

"I never wanted to be a king of supremacy mother. I just want a fair and equal planet for Ocleans. I wanted a less violence . If we continue this violence and injustice, there will be still violators."

"Your father just wants to punish them because they commit a crime. So that no one will follow them."

"We don't have any evidence that they killed alto. We should take them to trials first."

"Your father want Ocleans to follow rules Rametheus. If he will not punish them others will not learned and will follow them."

"Ocleans are now scared mother because of this injustice system we had."

"Your still learning my son, someday you will understand why your father did that."

"I know I’m not yet mature for that mother but what if they are truly innocent. We are now murderers ...."

Present Day in planet Earth ...

"Master !!! Are you okay?"

"Human !!!!"

Rametheus is awake into his nightmare and holds the plasma gun aimed at the servant.

"Please don't shoot master please ..."

The old woman was terrified

"Why are you here in my chamber?"

"I’m ... I’m ..."

The old woman shuddered as he looked at Rametheus's gun. Rametheus noticed the fear on the woman's face. So he lowered the gun.

The servant took a deep breath.

"I hear something strange master that’s why I enter your room."

"What do you mean by strange?"

"It's like you're having nightmares like we humans have."

"So?"

"Humans have a possibility to die when we have nightmares."

"Is that so?"

"I'm just concerned."

"Your not allow to enter my chamber without any permission and a chance to be punished but you still barge in because your concern at me. Huh? Interesting."

Rametheus confuse about the woman reason.

"All humans want us to die because of what we did to your planet and you. You said your concern I’m confused. "

"I'm sorry master for entering your chamber."

The servant wanted to explain but he was afraid that he might not like what she was going to say.

"Explain to me human. I won't harm you. I’m just really confused of what you did."

The servant gasped before she spoke.

"Humans and me are mad, angry for what you did master but some humans still have a heart. I don't know but its my instinct to help someone who in needs regarding of what they are. That’s what other humans do"

"Ah is that so?"

"We are hopeless in our situation but we must face this reality now, humans are your slaves. You and your species are our ruler. We cant defeat you. But we can accept so that we can live."

Rametheus felt the sincerity of his servant's explanation.

"Then what is the exchange for your kindness?"

"I never want any exchange for my kindness master but I will take these opportunity to ask favor to you  please no more killings of humans. We are all willing to be your slaves but please I beg you no more killings."

Rametheus sigh…

"I can't promise that because my father is the king, he made the last decisions but because of your kindness to me I promise to prevent any killings that's on my way. Is that fair to you?"

"Thank you master."

Rametheus knelt on one leg and bowed. It’s a sign of commitment in Ocleans.

The servant felt relieved of what Rametheus promised.

"You can leave now, ahm .. by the way do humans have names? What’s yours?"

"Precilla master."

"Precilla are you thousands old? Your skin and complexion it’s different."

Precilla was surprised by Rametheus question.

"Your skin you look like live million years in this planet."

"I am 60 years old master."

Rametheus was surprised but because Ocleans are intelligent he immediately realized the difference in their age on planet Earth.

"So we are totally different. Now you can go. Please don't barge again here in my chamber if its not important."

"Okay master and thank you again"

When Precilla came out from Rametheus chamber Tessa another human servant approach her.

"Are you okay Precilla? Did he do something to you? You've been  there inside for a long time."

"No Tess I’m okay now. I thought he will shoot me but he didn’t ."

"I told you not to barge in. It’s dangerous."

"He was having a nightmare. They have also something like that."

"You should just let him suffer so that if he died their species will be reduce. It’s good for us.

"Tess I know we want to get rid of the suffering they created but I don’t want to be a monster like them. I have a heart"

"Pris you should stop being kind especially with those creature who have no compassion to us.”

“I'm not sure about being no compassion to them Tess that creature is different. I think he really is concerned.”

Tessa oppose Pricilla’s opinon.

“As long as we are treated like this, none of them are different.”

“It’s true, Tess, do you know that he was the one who freed the mother who stole food and treated her son and then earlier she made a promise because of my kindness. He told me that he will never kill anymore humans,”

“Pres, you believe that? There are heartless creature that is the truth.”

“Precilla can't blame Tess or anyone who is angry with Ocleans. Who isn't angry to them they made humans now as their slave.”

“Hey humans!!! What are you chitchatting? Work !!!”

Hyatus passed by.

“Yes master.”

“If you want to live work. Serve us”

“Hyatus! Please don't do that.”

Rametheus rebuke Hyatus.

“What? Ordering this servants. Is that our job. These are slaves. Is there anything wrong about what I did Rame?”

“They did nothing wrong so stop shouting them.”

“Hey Rametheus if your not my twin I will think your human.Dont you see you act like them. I will ask father maybe they just found you here and bring to Ocleus because your are so soft brother.”

Hyatus made joke with his brother.

“If that's true I will be happy.”

“You're a such a disgrace to Ocleans Rametheus how could you compare your self to these weak creatures? Rametheus you are lucky to be Ocleans and not a human. Bear that to your mind.”

“I wish I could feel that luckiness as you said but seeing this world Hyatus of their now I wish I was not born.”

Hyatus was furious at the words he heard from his brother.

“I wish also your not my brother cause if not I will put your life in misery just like these humans. Don't you remember our mother. What they did to her? Don't you remember her Rametheus ?!”

“Mother ….

Hyatus was angry and punch Rametheus.

Rametheus touch his jaw but Hyatus grip Rametheus sleeves.

“Don't you worry if I will be a king of supremacy I will stop your misery brother!!!”

“Stop this !!!!”

Excelion arrived and immediately separates his sons.

“Hyatus what did you do to your brother?”

“He ask for that father.”

“Rametheus what’s the meaning of this? Why are you two fighting?”

“Its nothing father.”

“Rametheus stood up and touched the his punched jaw.”

“Just tell Hyatus don't mistreat my servant.”

“It is only about humans and your fighting? My lord. Your Ocleans. What happened to you.”

“Just tell that to Rametheus father.”

Hyatus left.
