"Your heart rate is fine, blood pressure is normal, and your temperature is okay...you can leave now, Ms. Vadar," Dr. Patel said with a smile.
Sophia walked alongside her, holding a folder filled with the most recent reports and updates. "I've been looking into things, Ms. Vadar," Sophia said softly. "I believe we might have found the person who's been betraying us."
Angelina, slowly waking up, asked, "Who?"
Sophia paused, clearing her throat.
"Oh...right, um, I'll leave you two alone. Ms. Vadar, you can leave in about an hour...if you need anything, just let me know," Dr. Patel said awkwardly.
Sophia looked around to make sure no one was listening, then said, "It's Marcus."
The news hit Angelina hard. "Marcus?" she whispered, feeling both disbelief and anger. "Are you certain?"
Sophia nodded, looking serious. "I checked his communications and found encrypted messages between him and one of Christiana's known contacts. It seems he's been giving her information."
Angelina felt a strong, cold anger take hold of her. Her own brother—a traitor. She had known they had their differences, but she had never thought he would go this far. The desire to confront him right away was very strong, but she made herself stay calm.
“We’ll handle him,” Angelina said, her voice firm. “But for now, we need to concentrate on the board meeting. I want you to watch Marcus—make sure he doesn’t realize we know what he’s doing.”
Sophia nodded, and then went to the office, where the board members were already sitting, talking quietly among themselves. The room became quiet as Sophia entered, and everyone looked at her.
Angelina continued to relax and watched the man walking in. Dylan.
“How are you feeling now?” He asked, clearing his throat deeply.
"I'm fine now, but I felt a bit strange earlier," Angelina responded.
"Oh, you really need to be more cautious," Dylan said strongly.
"I know, but when there's a conflict, I—" Angelina bragged but then paused abruptly.
Suddenly, Dylan started to change.
Sweat began to pour from his serious face and arms, soaking through the thick hair covering his strong body. His face turned a deep red, as if he was battling something inside him.
"Dylan! What's happening? Why are you acting like this? What—" Angelina asked worriedly.
"Angelina... I'm sorry, but I have to go now," Dylan quickly responded and hurried away.
Elena watched Dylan with a mix of worry and curiosity.
She was eager to discover what was going on and was determined to do so as soon as she was out of this hospital bed.
