I was so happy today, like really happy without a care in the world. Eva and her doctor husband Josh, Matt and Maria, Chris and Brenda, my parents, Vanessa and Donovan were all here celebrating my thirty second birthday with me. We were all by the pool area chilling and having fun while listening to music. The ladies and I were lying on the pool chairs while the men were playing water polo.
“Grandma Vicky,” Vanessa said and I put my hands over my face. Vanessa had just asked for a death penalty from my mom by saying the two words she (my mom) feared most.
“Honey, I am going to give you five minutes to run or tomorrow you’ll wake up dead and disposed of and no one will know what really happened to you,” my mom threatened while Eva and I laughed at how scared Vanessa looked.
