Chapter 1

Gumising ako ng maaga dahil na din sa narinig ko na ang katok ng bunso namin, baby pa siya ng umalis ako and it has been 5 years since at through video call niya lang ako nakikita and she was so happy yesterday ng makita niya ako for the first time. I have other siblings and our youngest is a girl the only girl of the family kaya Princess ang ipinangalan namin sa kanya. Everyone love her kaya spoiled siya. I open the door and she suddenly hugs me, "Good morning brother" though I can understand her she still have a twisted tongue and can barely dictate the correct pronunciation. "Good morning baby girl, how's your sleep?" tanong ko sa kanya, but she pouted and said she barely slept because of excitement, I pull her up to my arms and we walk downstairs. Nakita ko si mommy cooking breakfast together with Nanay Sally. They were all shock yesterday when I rung the doorbell outside, pagkabukas nila nakita nila akong nakatayo at nakangiti, si Nanay Sally ang nagbukas ng pinto ng gate yet she yelled so hard na napatakbo ang buong pamilya palabas. Nang makita ko ni mommy and daddy they both run toward me and hugged me tight that I hardly breathe.

"Good morning mother," I said as I walk near her and kiss her on the cheeks, Princess tried to go to mom as she wants to go in her arms but I told her mommy's cooking, she looks at me and I told her we're going out to see the sun. Lumabas kami ng bahay at sa garden ko siya dinala, the flowers are well taken care off, at walang puno sa garden maliban na lang malapit sa gate which makes an aisle. "Do you want to buy some toys later?" I ask, she nods and looks at the sky, the sun starts rising and its warm light struck us with seemingly lovely heat. I miss this life, though I know na hindi din ako magtatagal dito. I have work in Thailand and I need to go back there before the school year starts. Actually going to Thailand and work there was not a part of my plan, I only wanted to unwind and go far away from stress and heartache, yet opportunity came and I started teaching as a Business professor in a University. I bought a house there, after I passed the citizenship, after 3 years. Due to my contribution in teaching students and letting them pass the examination with high scores all over the country, with the help of high officials from the university I was given citizenship and did not undergo many routes.

I have 6 to 8 months of vacation before school starts in Thailand, anyway I need to enjoy my life with my family also I will be meeting some of my friends here. I was planning on bringing them to Thailand to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the hospitality of Thais but my father has many businesses to tend and my mother can't just leave without father so I plan to bring them next time if everything is set. I open the door of the gate and there I saw people jogging with their dog, some of them are old acquaintances. "Do you have friends here?" I ask the baby girl in my arm. "yes her name is Ashley, they live there" she pointed to the house across the road. I smile at her and we continue to look at the surrounding, just then Nanay Sally called us, and the breakfast's ready. Pumasok a kami and there my brothers and father are already waiting in the dining area. I have 3 older brothers and I am the fourth child we have a 2-3 years gap each and our youngest is 7 years old, she's most likely a menopausal baby, well she's a gift cause my mother really wanted a girl to tend. After eating my father ask me about my future business here but I told him that I am just having a vacation due to my work after 8 months. I have a longer vacation due to my schedule in their curriculum, I will be teaching and managing the students for their forthcoming examination after graduation, I will be handling their 2nd semester. My father thought that I will be staying here for good yet I can't just leave without notice in my job.

After our long conversation, I ask my parents if I can bring my sister to visit a*****e to buy her some gifts that I was not able to provide for the past years that I was in Thailand, they all agreed but instead my mother presented herself to go with us, and that's when my brothers also come along. Well the oldest have his own family so I told him I want to meet them, this will be the perfect time to meet the new family member. My brother nod and he walk out to call my sister in law and his two sons. They live 3 house away from us so it will be fast. I go back to my room and prepare for departure. I wore my white plain tee and black tattered jeans with an black airmax nike shoes. I put my wallet on the back of my pants and walk down, I need to prepare enough money, I must treat all of them.

After an hour of preparations the whole family is done and we are now prepared to go, my father though have his meeting so he will send us to the mall and then go to the company. I am the only child with no car aside from the youngest well I left for so many years so I told them to sell my car. I bought one though back in Thailand. I need it as transportation. The van stop in front of the mall as for my Mother and Princess together with the other children they were in my dad's car. I talk to my sister in law and I remember her to be my brother's high school sweetheart, she also came from a wealthy family and with both family merging, the whole Business industry is now firmly standing in our hands. I walk down the van and waited for the kids and mother, we bid our farewell to my father and we walk inside, I told the family to go find a restaurant while I and the kids will go buy them toys. My brother's children though at first being wary yet as I bribe them buying them toys they immediately cling to me. They also consider Princess as their sister not as Aunt, well she is still young the same age as them.

The four of us walk inside the store and I took a cart telling them to run and grab all the toys they want. The kids run as soon as I give the cue and they grab all the toys they want, no limit, I say, I ask a sales lady to help me with all the toys they are putting in the cart and if the thing can't handle it all she will grab another one. Princess took mostly toy dolls and toy house, while the boy grab cars, guns and robots. As I was following them I saw a huge human size stuffed toy, it's stitch, Oh! I am a fan of Lilo and Stitch and it is my favorite character aside from Doraemon. I grab the toy and told the lady to bring it near the counter with the other cart which I told her to bring. "Also can you bring the toys later in the parking area?" I ask, she nods in response.

Habang patuloy sila sa pamimili ng laruan ako naman ay tumingin tingin din ng pupweding bilhin na hindi pa nila nakikita, gusto ko sila regaluhan. Kaso ang bibilis ng kamay at nakuha na yung mga gusto ko iregalo. So I was in deep though when I hear a loud cry coming from where they are, tumakbo ako kaagad thinking kung ano meron, to my surprise umiiyak si Princess at itinulak pala ito ng isang batang lalaki din. Naglakad ako papunta at tinanong ano ang nangyari but Princess continue crying. 'Shh! tahan na, I will buy you ice cream and caka later ok" bigla naman siyang tumahan at pinunasan ang luha, "So ano nanyare?" I ask, the boys then told me na nakipag agawan yung bata sa laruan na pinili nila for Princess. Sinabihan pala sila ni Princess to choose a toy for her, but the kid took it and that led in pushing down the Princess. "Ok! hayaan niyo na, pili nalang kayo ng bago na ibibigay to Princess" I said and look at the kid, "Are you ok?" tanong ko din sa bata, though maluha luha na ang bata ay tumango lang ito, akala siguro ay pagagalitan ko, I grab the toy and hand it to the kid. "Bati na ok? I don't like kids fighting ok?" I mutter in low voice to make the kids at ease, mukha ba akong nakakatakot sa gwapo kong ito? anyway ngumiti na ulit si Princess and said na she will be friend with the kid, I pat her head sabay sabing pili na siya ng toy na ibibigay sa bata as a peace offering. She nod and grab a barbie doll, I laugh in response and told her to grab something a boy wants to play. "Sino kasama mo?" I ask, he then told me na pumuntang comfort room yung daddy niya, "ano name mo?" he told me its Lyle Cyrus Demetrio, he is 8 years old. Sounds familiar though the name? anyway tumayo na ako mula sa pagkakaluhod and waited for Princess na pumupili ng laruan, tumingin ako at papunta na din ang mga boys with their toys na ibibigay kay Princess. Lumapit sa akin si Princess with a robot in her hand, she then give tot he kid. "Okay! so hali na kayo at babayaran ko na ang mga kinuha niyo ng makakain na tayo" I utter and they all walk behind me, "halika na sumama ka sa amin at doon ka na mag antay sa counter, para mai announce na din natin baka hanapin ka pa ni Daddy mo later mag alala pa sayo" the kid nod at tumungo na kami sa counter.

After paying the toys well hindi nga ako nagkamali sobrang mahal also the stuffed toy cost me 8k damn, I was not expecting it, I told the sale's lady if they can send the order to my address, at first they are hesitant kasi hindi pa daw nila nagagawa ito before pero as soon as the manager learns the address agad din nilang na process to. I remember baka lumabas si manong driver cause I told him na pwedi din siya mag ikot if gusto niya. I also provided him some money para bumili ng ireregalo niya to his kids, at first umayaw pa siya cause may sahod naman daw siya but I insist, ang pagtulong ay iba sa pinagtrabahuhan ng isang tao, hindi porket binigyan mo ng isang trabaho ng isang tao ay tulong na ito, ang tunay na ibig sabihin ng tulong ay yung walang kapalit. After confirming about the situation ay agad na kaming umalis, but before yun I told the sale's lady in the counter to announce the whereabouts of this kid baka kasi mawala siya o mag-alala ang daddy niya. Then the girl ask me for reference so I told her my name, alam ngumiti sa naman sa akin ang manager before bowing her head ng kaunti.

"Antayin mo nalang daddy mo dito ah? kailangan na kasi naming umalis" tumango naman ang bata sabay yakap sa akin and giving his thanks, I hug him back ang I walk out with the kids with their chosen toys on their hand. "Boys, Princess, do not tell mom about the toys that we bought or she will turn into a dragon" I said, tumawa naman ang mga bata at naunang pumunta sa restaurant, this mall did not change kahit matagal akong nawala, so I still know the way kung saan ang Le Grand, a french restaurant na favorite naming magkakapatid. I saw my parents sa upper floor ng restaurant, I walk in and told them about the reservation, buti na lang pinuntahan ako ng kapatid ko baka kasi magtagal akong nakatayo in case na hanapin pa nila yung name. Malaki ang Le Grand in fact this is the biggest part of the mall, also the restaurant have both cheap and expensive menus kaya mahaba din pila, I love the fillet here, maliban na sa mura ay unlimited yung sauce. which is the signature of this restaurant.

We had our conversation as we wait for the food, things continue as my family ask me about my life in Thailand, I told them about hospitality and making friends with the citizen, everything is different in culture yet there are many things to enjoy and to be happy. After an hour we checked out and bring we go to the nearest booth inside, there is a fountain found in the middle of the mall, and there are people standing chatting with each other when my family said they are going home. Sinabihan ko na lamang silana mauna at ako ay susunod na lamang, I just need to unwind a little to relieve the stress. Tumango naman sila, my mom wants me to go home too yet I insist on staying and I assure her to go back before dinner. Tiningnan ko na silang paalis, I wink to the kids as I put my finger to my lips, and they all chuckle, alam nila na magagalit si mommy dahil sa dami ng pinamili kong laruan para sa kanila. I watch them go on their way and I then take a seat at the bench in front of the fountain. "Hello, Mr." I heard a low voice. At pagtingin ko sa aking kaliwa ay nakaupo na doon ang bata na kanina ay nakilala ko sa toy store, he hold the toy in his hand, ngumiti ito sa akin at dinantihan ko naman siya ng ngiti, "Did you see your dad?" I ask at tumango lamang ito sabay turo sa lalaki na bumibili ng ice cream booth hindi kalayuan sa kinauupuan ko. Matangkad ito at maputi, kahit nakatalikod ay halatang gwapo ito.

By the way, I forgot to introduce myself, we have been telling my story for quite some time now yet I forgot to tell you things about myself. I am the fourth son of the Sanderson, I am Carlisle Sven Sanderson, I am 27 years old, a graduate of Business in a prestigious school in this country, I took my masters after I finished my education and work under a company for half a month, due to some circumstance I traveled to Thailand to change the mood yet opportunity came and I became a professor for the last 5 years.

Kinausap ko ang bata habang wala pa ang daddy nito. I told him things like magic and I also trick him with vanishing coin which I learned from my father when I was a child, he is really in awe about the magic trick I made, he clap twice and stand on the bench, he hugs me tightly and gives thanks for making him laugh. "Mister, my daddy told me that if someone made me laugh I need to give them a hug and thanks" I just smile in response before he unclasps me. Things go upside down when the person that I don't want to meet ever and ever again stood in front of me hold two cones of ice cream. "Lyle" a deep voice echoed in my ear, the very person who led me to go to Thailand.

Making myself stand I bring my courage in and look straight into his eyes. He takes a step toward me but I back a step or two, "Kiddo I think I need to go home" just after that I walk away not minding his call, my name escape from his mouth yet I continue. So that kid's father is Kyle. Outside the mall, I booked a car to pick me and send me home. It took about 5 minutes before it arrive in front of the establishment. Pagkasakay ko ay bigla na lamang akong nanghina, kahit sa tagal ng panahon na ako ay nawala hindi ko pa din makalimutan ang sakit, kahit na anong ngiti ang aking ipakita sa lahat, sa huli hindi maipagkakaila na ang sakit na nadarama ko ay nandirito pa din nag aantay na lumabas muli. Nang ako ay nakabalik na sa bahay ay agad akong tumungo sa aking kwarto, gusto kong umiyak pero siguro matagal na din kaya okay na hindi pakawalan ang sakit na nadarama.

I am gay, well you can say that I am Bisexual, I openly said it to my family, at first they are against it but as I continue to grow they realize that this is what I chose to live and what I want for myself. The family accepted me though ever since I never had a serious relationship aside from that man the very person who led me to my anger. It took me months to realize that I can still continue to live even without him.

Masasabi natin na ang pagiging bakla or anything that belongs to the 3rd gender ay walang kasiguraduhan, maybe for others true love exist but some may lead to their demise. I for example almost destroyed me. It happen way back when I was still working in an associate company, I don't want to work under my family cause I want to gain experience before touching our business. My father thought the same. I also hid the fact that I am the fourth son of the man that holds the most businesses in the industry of this country. Only my older brothers were able to showcase their selves in the high society, though I sometimes joins the party yet my presence was not realized back then. I was happy cause I fell in love with the man that I thought I can live with for the rest of my life. It was the time of our anniversary when I discovered everything. At first, I was so concerned cause he was sick, he told me that he had a fever, and with his poor health, illnesses can easily penetrate him. It was noon when I asked my boss that I will be leaving early due to personal reasons, I bought medicines, food, and stuff for him. After arriving in his condominium the clothes which I do not recognize were showered all over the living room. I have this unwelcoming feeling, I doubt it at first yet there was this urge to continue and to see what was really happening. My tears hold back but my rampaging heart that was in pain began to rise heavily, the air that I take continue to my stomach leaving me a hard time to exhale.

Anger, curiosity, jealousy all kinds of de trop notions continue to surge like a wave from the heart of the ocean, like the madness of trees after the strong breeze of wind. As I slid the door open, my healthy heart became sick, tears fall rushing down like falls, seeing him having his hormone with someone I do not know, someone I saw for the first time. Deep within me, I was expecting it to be a girl, I hope and I wish it was a woman where he can make his own family till the day he departs, yet, it was another man, a slender one, a woman figure. I look at him as he continues to moan as he penetrates the man with his wood, as he leans down from the back he looks toward me and his eyes widen. With my courage, with my strength left I walk out of the establishment with tears showering away from my eyes. I can hear him shout but I was deafened. The next thing I knew, I was lying on the ground, the sight of me seeing as people cover me with concern. My sight turned blurry and the next thing I knew my consciousness was drag by the dark abyss.

Gumising ako at nakita ko na nakaupo na si Princess malapit sa akin, she is trying to wake me."Good morning Princess" I greeted, bigla niya akong hinalikan sa pisngi sabay bati din nito ng magandang umaga. I told her na mauna na sa baba at maliligo lang ako saglit. Ngayong araw ay pupunta ako sa Santiago Grand Hotel dahil may event na magaganap, my father succeeded in signing the contract with the foreign company, well I helped him with the proposal noong nasa ibang bansa pa ako. After 30 minutes ay bumaba na ako at nakita ko na kompleto ang buong pamilya including the family of my brother. Nakaupo na ang mga ito at nakita ko naman si mommy na nakasimangot. I think I know the reason. I walk behind her and kiss her on the cheeks before greeting her and dad. Umupo na ako katabi ni Princess next to my 3rd brother and his fiance. "Lyle hindi ko gusto pinaggagawa mo kahapon" and there she goes. "Mother it was a small thing, bumabawi lang ako sa mga pamangkin ko at may Princess" I utter. "Kahit na, to buy them so many toys, pano nila lalaruin yun, buti di mo naisipang bilhin ang buong toy store" saad niya, I joke telling her "I was planning though I knew you would get mad so I back out and instead bought them all the toys they chose" she look at me and everyone in the room laughed. "By the way father, congratulations" I said, he nod and said "It was also thanks to you siblings that the contract has been signed" we really work hard, this contract signing may be his best gift. The company is one of the leading enterprise in another country and making contacts with them is hard. Well it happen according to plan, that company have something to do with me. I and Timothy owns that business in America. Timothy who is also living in this country have his name written all over the documents but I am the brain and heart of the business, Timothy is the body that make appearances in interviews. I want to hide the fact, that in the past 5 years aside from living in Thailand I also contacted Timothy to create a small company which in the small span of 5 years rise to the peak and is now known as a rising tiger that holds almost half of the business industry in another country.

Habang ang buong pamilya ang kumakain, kaming mga kakapatid and dad continue conversing concerning the business, my 2nd brother also ask for some opinion regarding the fall of his company's sales. Of course, we talk about the pros and cons and some changes in order to promote the raise of his company once more. The whole situation ended when the telephone rings, Nanay Sally said it was for me. I took the last bite before standing and walking toward the telephone. As soon as I take the phone, I can hear people are quarreling, "Hello Carlisle speaking" I introduce at bigla akong nakarinig ng tili, it was Samantha, one of the gang, she was a daughter of the aviation company owner, "Kailan ka bumalik?" agad niyang bungad, sinagot ko naman siya ng nakangiti, we talk shortly dahil inagaw sa kanya ni Paul yung telepono, I wonder saan nila nalaman na bumalik na ako. After talking nalaman ko na magkakaroon pala ng school reunion ang buong high school graduates ng school year namin at ang venue ay sa Santiago Grand Hotel, pagkatapos ng tawag ay agad akong bumalik sa hapag upang tapusing ang mga natirang pagkain sa aking plato. Nagpatuloy na ako sa pagkain at isa isa naman silang nagsialisan dahil sa tapos na sila sa umagahan. Hindi nagtagal ay natapos na din ako at nagsiligpit na ng hapag ang mga kasambahay, sinabihan ko muna silang kumain at mamaya na maglinis ngunit tapos na daw sila kumain sa kusina. Nginitian ko na lamang sila at nagtungo na sa kwarto. I think I need to prepare para sa lakad mamaya, mabilis na tumakbo ang araw at tanghali na, hindi ko namalayan ang oras dahil na din siguro sa aking paglalaro, Kumatok si Nanay Sally sa aking kwarto at inimbita ako sa baba na kumain na ng tanghalian at nauna na daw sa venue ang mga kapatid ko. I told her na hindi na ako kakain at susunod na din ako sa kanila, alam ko naman kung saan banda ang Hotel, I think buong gabi na naman ako neto, anyway wala lang naman sa akin dahil hindi naman ako kilala kaya mabisli lang ako makakaalis in case na tinamad na ako sa event.

I was about to book a car when I realize na may kotse sa labas, also yung personal secretary ni dad is waiting just outside the porch. "Young master, your car arrive just a while ago" sabi into sa akin, hindi ako kumuha ng bagong sasakyan dahil hindi din naman ako magtatagal dito why? I thought to myself, "your father told me to use this in going in the venue" he utter at binuksan ang driver's seat. I sigh realizing that he bought this for me, anyway I hop inside the car and the Secretary told me he will follow after settling all the papers. I nod and start the engine to drive the car toward the hotel. It took me 2 hours of drive, you may call this place a province yet mukha siyang siyudad siguro dahil na din sa dami ng mga buildings at mga bahay na nakapalibot dito. This hotel has been popular ever since it was opened, the quality of their staff, the food and everything in it is superb.

I stop the car in front of the entrance and a man in his work attire walk toward me. Lumabas ako at iniabot ko sa kanya ang susi ng sasakyan, ibinigay naman niya yung information card niya at agad na akong tumuloy sa entrance, sinabi ko ang pangalan ko sa information personnel at tinignan niya kung naka register ako as one of the people na imbitado sa loob. "Greetings Mr. Sanderson, you may proceed to the VIP area on the left" I nod at pumasok na ako yumuko naman ito bilang paggalang sa akin, nakita kong may mga mata na nakatingin sa akon siguro dahil sa narinig nila ang apelyedo ko. As I told you before I did not debuted to the high society unlike my brothers, I do not like attention hence I asked my parents to hide my information to everyone, alam ng lahat in high society na meron pang dalawang anak ang Sanderson pero hindi pa ito nakikita publicly. Just a moment after, nakita ko si mommy na papalapit sa akin, I smile in response before hugging her, "Hi mother" I said and kiss her on her cheeks, she then cling her hand to my arm and pull me toward her circle, there I saw her friends talking with each other. "Ladies this is my fourth son Carlisle Sven Sanderson, he just came back from Thailand" I smile and greeted her colleagues. "Ang gwapo naman, manang mana talaga sa inyong mag asawa" sabi ng isang babae, I think she was my mom's friend for how many years, I met her a few times before. "Greeting madam, it's a pleasure to meet you again" I said, she laugh and said na naaalala mo pala ako, she then told me her name. She was my mother's friend since high school and they became sister in arms or what not. She own a restaurant with so many branches, her establishment rival the Le Grand in term of food quality, she is also a well known chef, well my mother was a chef too so I think they really are friends. All I remember was that they were always cooking everytime she went to our house.

A few minutes after I heard my father's voice and he pull me out of the circle of women. He then brings me to his group, all wearing formal attire, well I am wearing one too, I fix my tie and greet every one of them. Things continue like that until the emcee announced the start of the event. Just then my father with his group walk into the center and announce things about the success of Sanderson Enterprise in acquiring the rising tiger in America, many eyes wanted the rising tiger to sign a contract with them but there are only two companies who succeeded in making contact with the popular Daeil Industry. The Sanderson Enterprise and Bio Group which owned by my friend Timothy. As the representative of Daeil Industry congratulates my father, he looks at me and his eyes widen, I think he recognizes who I was. I nod and he smiles as he continues his speech. After a while, I walk to the balcony of the hotel and watch the light around the garden, there are many people talking with their colleagues as for me, I just watch them as I take a sip on the wine with the help of the wind I can relax in this crowded place. "Mr. Sanderson correct?" said the voice, the representative that Timothy sent, he knew who I am, I smile as I greet him and ask to accompany me. We talk things about our future agenda regarding the company.
