Something had to be said for the cover of dark, especially in the lower encampments where there were no lights, just small fires. I"d heard it was because they didn"t want to waste electricity on us but considering what the dark made possible, it seemed foolish.
Then again, I supposed the people at the top of the food chain at the Nest were blissfully unaware of what life was like at the bottom of the social order.
I shuffled closer to Jack who was shining a small torch on the hand-drawn map. "I"ve been observing the guards and there are definitely weak spots. My suggestion would be that we can get through here at the back of the kitchens. There"s a forest nearby that we can easily disappear in and it makes it harder for the scout birds to spot us."
