Chapter 3: Allie

I cannot believe that just happened. What am I saying? Of course I can, I mean why not right? It is not as if this was the first time he had gotten mad and hit me. I stand here before Nikki's door hoping that she is in her room and not working while also hoping that no one sees me. Nobody except Maddie knows about our friendship and nobody can know. If they found out, then Nikki would be fired and I would receive the worst beating of my life and then probably be disowned. I knock on the door. Nikki comes and opens it. Her eyes fill with sorrow when she sees the bruises on my arms and the mark on my face.

"Oh Allie..." She says as she ushers me inside. Once I am inside of her puny room I sit on the bed while she closes the door. Nikki come over and sits on the bed next to me.

"Allie?" She says. "What happened in there? What did he do to you?"

"Let us summon Maddie down here first. She should hear this too." I tell her. She nods.

"I will go out and get Maddie. I will tell the guards that it is on your orders. In the meantime, you go up to your bedroom. When Maddie comes in then you two come down here where we have a lesser chance of getting caught."

"Okay" I reply.
