Rain could feel Zaraks emotions even as he slept. She was laying next to him. She hadn’t left his side for two days, in hopes he would gain his strength back and he has. He’s opened his eyes a few times and gave her a little smirk before falling back asleep. She could feel pure love radiating through his vains. He felt sincere, warm and safe. She could never read Chad the way she could his twin. Chad was more closed off, he felt angry and unsure but she knew he loved her as well.
Zarak opened his eyes and turned his head towards Rain. This time he flashed his perfect smile “have you eaten?” He whispered.
She nodded her head yes. Chad has brought her food and stayed until she ate everything before leaving again to deal with clan things.
Rain smiled. She could see Zarak coming back and the fact that it’s because of her made Rain feel like she had some type of purpose.
“How are you feeling?” She whispered.
Zarak turned on his side to face her, his eyes now drowning in hers. He lifted his hand, cleared her face with any stranded hair and just held her cheek.
“I’m alive.” He said as he rubbed his thumb lovingly against her skin.
Rain leaned her head against his hand and closed her eyes.
This world seemed to slow down.
She opened her eyes after a moment and looked at Zarak.
“I’m sorry.” He softly said. “For kidnapping you and scaring you.” He swallowed his tears. “I just didn’t know how else to get you and Zee here and time is.” His words were coming out quickly. Rain could feel the guilt and worry come over his soul as he was trying to explain himself.
“Shhhh.” She shushed. She already understood.
“I get it.” She said. “Save your energy.” She continued. She didn’t need Zarak to explain. She felt his intentions from the beginning.
Zaraks eyes swelled with tears. He dropped his hand to find hers and their fingers intertwined.
“Im guessing Zee filled you in.” He questioned. His eye brows scrunched, waiting for a response.
Rain nodded.
“Where is he?” Zarak asked.
“He’s been sending for allies.” She stated.
“We must get you somewhere safe. Somewhere far away.” He said in a serious tone.
“We have allies across the sea. They’re trustworthy.” Rain could feel the urgency in his voice. She backed up.
“You can’t stay here.” He said. Seeing the disapproval on her face.
“I’m not leaving everyone to die.” She said. Her heart was pounding.
“Zee can take you there. He can safely get you there and get you established before the cold.” Zarak said with a softer voice. Worry and love filled.
“Stop!” Rain pleaded.
“Why would you bring me here and then not want me to be queen and keep everyone safe?” She had no idea what he was thinking. She got closer.
“I will marry and we will bring the clans together.” She softly spoke.
“I want nothing more than for you to marry me.” He said ever so loving “but..” he took a deep breath. Rain could tell he was tired. She squeezed his hand and leaned in even closer. Their noses were touching, he leaned his forehead on hers and closed his eyes.
“Do I have your permission to show you a memory?” He asked.
Rain closed her eyes “yes.” She answered.
Suddenly they were in the most beautiful garden. Their hands still in one another. They we’re under a willow tree that provided shade. Around them were colorful flowers of different types. Daisies, lilies, gardenias and roses. It looked like something from out of a fairytale.
Rain looked at Zarak and saw him looking around. He felt peaceful. She could feel a low vibration coming off of him as he took a deep, slow breath.
He looked down into her eyes.
“ I would spend hours here, thinking about you and the life that we could have.” He said.
Rain smiled. His words tugged at her heart.
Zarak cupped her cheek with his free hand.
“Of course I want you to marry me but not because you have to. I don’t want you to marry me because the universe made you and because you have no choice.” She could feel the wind blow around them.
“Marry Zee once you get across the sea. Start a life there” he softly said.
Rain felt her heart sink. She knew what he was doing. He was sacrificing himself for her happiness. She closed her eyes.
“I want to leave the memory.” She said quietly.
She felt him kiss her forehead. “Okay.” He whispered.
A moment later she opened her eyes and they were in bed again.
Rain could no longer hold herself back. She leaned forward and kissed her lifemate. He seemed to hesitate for a moment but then kissed her back. His hand finding her neck to softly hold and his thumb gently rubbing against her throat. This made Rain exhale and he took the opportunity to slide his tongue into her mouth. She had never been kissed this way. No one’s ever radiated so much passion.
Without warning Zarak stopped. He laid on his back and tried to control his breathing.
“What’s happening?” He said between his breaths.
He looked back at Rain.
Rain got on top of Zarak, and leaned forward. She could feel that he wanted her. She looked into his eyes and gave his lips a quick peck.
“I don’t know if it’s the universe or if it’s because I can feel the purity of your intentions, but I can assure you that I want you.” She quietly said.
Zaraks hazel eyes got dark. He put both hands on her hips and lifted just enough for her to feel how hard he really was.
Rain allowed Zarak to control her hips. He slowly had her grind against him and she could feel the unfed hunger he kept hidden finally come to. She leaned back as he sat up, he placed one hand on her lower back to keep her from falling backwards and his other hand helped him to get up out of bed. Rain had her legs wrapped around him and she held on with her arms around his neck as he carried her to the door. He was kissing her neck the whole way there. Then she head the door lock.
Zarak carried Rain back to the bed and laid her down. He took a moment to look at her before he leaned down and kissed her lips.
His hands slid down her body and he unbuttoned her jeans and slid them off. Rains hands were wrapped in his hair as their kisses grew more passionate.
His thumb softly rubbed the outside of her lace panties. Rain’s whole body shook with excitement. She was begging for him. Lifting herself up and down as he continued to rub and make her wet. Zarak undid his belt and zipper and dropped his pants along with his boxers. He needed to be inside of her. He’s been needing her for so long.
He stopped kissing her and better positioned himself between her legs. His eyes never leaving hers as he pulled her panties to the side.
His tip barely touching her entrance. He could tell she was ready. She was wet.
“Is this what you want?” He asked. His voice deep and sensual. He pressed himself against her, still not in but just enough for her to feel his tip.
“Yes please.” Rain could barely get the words out. She wanted him so badly.
“ please.” She repeated herself as she moved her hips forward, causing his tip to feel her wetness.
The sound of her asking him to enter her made chills run down his spine. He felt himself lose a little more control and he thrusted into her warmth.
They both moaned and he continued thrusting into her. His mouth found hers and he kissed her hard.
Zarak had years to make up for and he intended to do so.
