The late afternoon sun was pouring lazily through the living room curtains of Theo’s apartment, filling the space with a warm golden glow. Yes, he got his own apartment. The air smelled faintly of coffee and the vanilla-scented candle Jasmine had lit earlier. Outside, the city was alive with distant honks and chatter, but in here, it was just the two of them, a little pocket of peace in the middle of everything.
