My mother had sent me to check on Miles and Leon to make sure that they weren’t goofing off, and if I was being honest I didn’t like being around Miles. He gave off this creepy vibe to me the way he would stare at me but it was my mother’s day.
I was helping him tie his bow tie and I could feel his eyes on me. I tried to make conversation hoping that maybe he was also just nervous and the situation wasn’t helping.
“Are you nervous?” I asked offering him a small smile.
“A little. One marriage already didn’t work out; I’m hoping the second one is the charm.” He replied as he smiled back.
