I went to Vivian's house and spent a little time there before heading home. I wanted to ensure Papa had gotten home and retired to his office. Again, I am not avoiding him, I don't want to see him right now. I know I can't avoid him forever but I really don't want to continue the conversation about the whole marriage contract.
I still can't believe Papa would do that to me. My own father wants to marry me off for business purposes and my mom never wanted me. Why is everybody getting rid of me?
I try to sneak up to my room without being noticed. I know Papa is probably in his office now, but there is every possibility that he will come out to stretch his legs.
