Chapter 3: Best Friends

Emilia wiped her face and spent the rest of her time while waiting for her friends to awaken by fixing up the final touches on her gifts for all of her friends. After she went to their meetup spot, the fountain in the noble district, a rarely used area as most nobles don't care for walking the streets and instead ride their carriages to get everywhere. Her first friend to arrive was Meli Freesia, a small elf girl with white pearly skin, and pointy ears that would oke out her green-tinted hair, she always wore gown-like elegant clothing that would have long skirts extending down to the ground, making her look like she was going to a wedding. Meli was the smallest, and nicest person in the group, as she was even smaller than Emilia, but always wore a kind, silent smile on her face.

Meli: "Hello Emiii!, It's surprising you are here early, usually you're the last to arrive." she said bouncing over to her friend swinging her basket by her side.

Emilia: "Actually about that, father has made a breakthrough on his research, and made some new pills that dampen the morning effects." Emilia said, handing her friend a bottle of the pills she received that morning.

Meli: "Wow your dad is so cool with all his helpful medicines, my dad just keeps coming home drunk and passing out on the porch..." she said with a worried smile before pausing. "Well tell him that I'm grateful and that I promise not to forget this time!"

Emilia: "Yeah we don't want to have to carry you to the fountain again, even though you're so small it's not easy when you go completely limp." she said with a teasing smirk.

The next to arrive was Hawt Fayal, and Nayal Leoliff walking and talking like a pair carrying their baskets. These two could often be seen together as they were best friends over anyone else in the group, not because of any romantic tension between the two, but because Hawt and Nayal were perfect partners for each other, and could cover each other's weak points perfectly. Nayal was a half-kitsune with blue fox ears sticking out of his bright blue messy hair, he had a small frame but wasn't as small as Meli, and would always wear the latest fashion of Ruxmar, usually going for open jackets of blue and white, with a black shirt on the inside. He was the brainiac and leader of the group and was always coming up with new plans and ideas for the kids to have fun, and he also was the most versed in magic compared to the others.

Hawt on the other hand was the most unique person in the group, being a Dragonling, a half-dragon human, she had yellow piercing reptilian eyes that shined beautifully in any light, bright red hair with her long pointy ears, and straight black horns that pointed backward sticking out. She had crimson scales going down her thigh and arms, making her feet and hands clawed and powerful, some scales appeared around her neck and under her eyes, almost making them look like jewelry or makeup, and she wore crop top jackets, and a small crop top shirt, showing off her human midsection, along with short-shorts and thigh highs that went along with her sneakers to make her look like a stylish child. She was always excited and bubbly one of the group and was an active thrill seeker.

Hawt: "Hi girls! Starting the party without us I see." she said with a bright toothy grin shining on her face.

Nayal: "Hardly their fault when you forget both our baskets and insisted on going back for chocolate at the local store, forgetting that you had made them sell out all of their sweets last week due to your sweet tooth addiction." he said with his face showing obvious annoyance.

Hawt: "Hey, it's not my fault all, of my teeth, are sweet teeth!" she said puffing up her cheeks.

Nayal: "Anyway, where is Koreloof, shouldn't he be here already, after all, he is so confident about his amazing speed and power," he said crossing his arms.

Meli: "He's probably just running late, or maybe something came up suddenly"

Nayal: "Knowing that clown he's probably just screwing around town trying to get into trouble" as he said this they could see a dust cloud coming from the direction of Koreloof's house. "Speak of the devil, there he is."

He now was within sight as he was running so fast it was kicking up dust and cobble into the air as he ran. Koreloof was the musclehead of the group, he was a small boy practically the same size as Nayal, except the boy had massive bulging muscles all over his body, making him often the target for news and attraction as a young boy, he had brown spiky hair, that had a long ponytail going out the back that could reach his lower back, he normally wore baggy training pants, foot, and hand wraps, and sleeveless shirts that would show off his muscled shoulders, the boy mas usually a careless kid who would rather spend all day working out than reading even one book. he was running to the group and when he arrived he stopped so fast that his basket flew off his hand and crashed into the fountain revealing his present to be headbands for all the kids.

Koreloof: "Nooooooo! my surprise, and I are the first one to reveal it too, this is a disaster, and sorry I was late because I slept in really hard, and now my neck feels stiff," he said as he started trying to get his neck to pop as if forgetting his surprise was just ruined.

Nayal: "Maybe instead of training until midnight you should actually try reading a book and going to sleep earlier," he said with spite in his voice.

Koreloof: "Oh yeah, maybe you should actually try and beef up then so I don't have to be the only one with any muscles in this group Mr. stuck up!" he said coming close to Nayal and poking his finger into his friend's chest.

Meli: "Oh stop it you two, this is no time for your bickering after all Emilia brought us pills her dad made to get us out of bed earlier," she said putting her small self between the two and trying to push them apart with little result.

Nayal: "Pills to make us wake up earlier? This is perfect, finally! Hawt our plan can finally work with these pills!" he said grabbing the bottles and handing them out to everyone.

Emilia: "What the plan to get back at all the bullies at school where we just get them to challenge Koreloof to an arm-wrestling plan?"

Koreloof: "Ooh Ooh, that was my plan, the perfect plan, and we get them to bet all of their lunch money as collateral!"

Nayal: "No I already said that plan is too easy and childish, I mean the plan to finally get some fun out of this boring town. Tonight, after the party, we sneak out before taking the pills and go down to the forest, and we have a little party of our own...
