White House Memorandum, Date 2020.8.14, Time 10:36
TO: Partners and Presidents of the States
FROM: Kim Bumsoo , Chancellor
RE: Welcome
Welcome, subordinates, to the beginning of the greatest collaborative human effort in the history of our world. I would not dare suggest that this is a time for excitement. The world has never known such dark times as these, and celebration is far from appropriate. What I would like to establish, however, is that we can feel hope and pride that we are a part of something that is working to save the human race. And to succeed, we must hit the ground running.
Our scientists and doctors have worked to come up with an action plan. They believe that we can achieve sixty percent of the cure we need by setting in motion of our people searching for the potential tests and subjects.
Several kids we have taken from the allied forces of teenagers called 'Force' were proclaimed immune to the virus. They were now being monitored at all times by their designated rooms in the bunker lab.
And in addition to our progress, we have found the perfect subject in the haven from the Atlanta. However, he disappeared the night our allies have planned to get him set up in isolation.
There is, of course, a bad news. One of our subjects, Patient X08 has escaped and is out there to spread the news of our mission. And the last one is, two of our military combatants has gone AWOL.
We will be doing our best to get them before they could do further damage in this plan for the sake of the Cure.
Members of the States and White House plan to stay in constant communication throughout the entirety of this project, so do feel free to share your thoughts with me or the others at any time. I am proud to be a part of this great endeavor, along with all of you.
The experiment for the future has begun.
Mr. Kim tapped the send in the screen of the laptop, a ghost smile appeared on his lips when the notification popped out of the President passing it to all of the last standing countries out there.
Rolling his seat away from the front of the computer, to check on the security cameras monitoring the mentioned kids who were immune, his smile only widens as the hope for the future seemed to all accepted their fate.
The worses kind of fate sicker than the running zombie.
He could see his wife interviewing one of the kids inside their room painted in a sterile white and there is a big transparent mirror at the left wall, making it easier for the doctors to see any changes in their conditions.
The youngest of them was the one being interviewed named Daniel.
He was there hugging his knees, eyes red, his body already wanting to give up from all the prodding of the needles inside his veins and the one that ripped through his well-being, they electrified him - they didn't stop until they can see some changes in the virus they so unthoughtfully injected.
They ignored his screams, his begs for mercy. No one can care about a child who will be part of the cure to save the humanity.
"How are you feeling, Daniel?", yhe woman known as the Head Scientist named Claire, asked in a soothing voice and trying to lessen the boy's fear.
He didn't answer. Only that his fragile body was shaking, his stomach were aching for food and that he was so scared of what's waiting for him in the next days to come.
"Is there something changing in your body? Sight? Smell? Taste? Tell me, Daniel", Claire continued, her hand reaching out to comfort him but she was answered by screams.
Screams of pure horror and agony. It didn't relent out for a whole five minutes making Daniel runs for the bathroom, hiding in there and falls to his knees, his hands cupping his ears.
He doesn't want to hear it. Again and again.
The screams of his own friends experiencing the same thing as he, was an incredibly eye opening that there is already monsters out there since the start.
Before the zombies even rise, they were everywhere.
Living all like a normal people and has now decided to come for the teenagers like him, ignoring how everyday the light in their eyes disappeared.
And he could never ever forget the way one of the subjects jumped from the first opportunity they got when they were let out in the highest floor of this building, to get an air, the doctors said.
What they didn't expected was after the one jumped down to his death, a lot came after.
Their bodies, in Daniel's eyes that day, seems like angels wearing their own lab gowns as they floated into the air and only to be woken up by the reality of, they were not one of the purest creature out of heaven, b
ut victims.
Victims whose bodies were completely shattered, destroyed and almost unrecognizable down there in the crumbling asphalt.
He thought it would be the last thing to happened.
However, the worses of the worse has come in the appearance of the zombies being let out by their cages, coming for the bodies of who had chosen death than to live like a lab rat, not sane and not ever a human.
They treated the subjects as an animals.
Turning around to not witness the abomination, Daniel's world has ended the second he saw the scientists watching with morbid curiousity and they even had the insolent act of picking out their tablets, seeking to learn new discoveries out of a living nightmare.
This is the imminent growing nightmare the hunted preys should've run for their life or else, they will never escape in forever.
