The dinner was set for 7pm, but on the dot of 6, I called Darren and asked where I could pick her. She gave me the address of an apartment in the heart of St. Lucia. I was already dressed and set, so not bothering to waste anymore time, I hailed a cab to her place. It was pretty foggy outside and the snow was falling faster and was ankle deep. I wore boots instead of shoes because I wouldn’t have been able to navigate outside otherwise.
