I spent the next several hours reading up on Shadow Stalkers. They were said to be vicious beyond all reasoning, and despite being omnivores like humans, they preferred the blood and meat of fallen foes. The Shadow-verse was deliberately sealed off by the gods of the earth. Its expanse threatened the balance of the universe. The early races of earth couldn’t possibly mount a defense against the cruel and powerful species of shadows.
What’s more disturbing, they are nearly unkillable by any physical attack. Shadow Stalkers must be killed via metaphysical damage. Mainly, magiks, and other damages which impact deeper than the three dimensions mortals exist in.
