The Human Mate

Chapter Four

I woke up lying on a bed in my room which I don't remember sleeping on ,I could only remember shifting , before he could finish his thought he felt two thunderous slaps on his cheek and a heavy blow followed too causing blood to gush out of his mouth ,looking up he saw a furious Sabrina giving him a deadly stare then the memories of last night flooded into his head all at once ,he froze for some minute all he could mutter was " MATE " this made Sabrina more furious she stomed out of the room and slammed the door so hard . Chris was happy to have finally seenhis long lost mate but was confused because his mate is a human . He got out of bed straight to the pack's seerer to find the answer to the riddle of the possibility of a human to be mated to a werewolf , the seerer told him there is no possibility but Chris didn't believe him because his mate surely smelt human ,he left in disappointment went straight to his father to see what he can get from him but instead he got an ear full of an angry alpha ,Chris stomed out not minding what his father was ranting about his treatment to Sabrina ,all he had in mind is to find his human mate .Going into the woods became his daily routine for some weeks but it yielded nothing,his hope went back to zero ,he became the grumpy Chris again .Not until the night his father forced him to make it up to Sabrina for the ill treatment ,which he felt sad for Sabrina ,she didn't deserve to be treated like that but he had other important things that crowed his head . So that evening he decided to take her to dinner at his father's ranch ,to straighten things with her and get his mind off some things .Everything was moving smoothly until he felt the distress of his wolf echoing in his head " MATE" sensing the fear of their mate ,he shifted into his wolf form in a heartbeat and disappeared into the woods running In a very high speed ,using the distress call of the mate to located her .He got to what used to be a village the sight wasn't something to talk about, everything burnt down to a crips ,he kept pacing around the area sniffing for her scent that smelt like flowers ,the scent led him into the woods nearby ,there he saw her fragile body lying on the floor ,he felt his heart broke maybe because of the mate bond ,he doesn't know her but it breaks his heart to see her in that state ,he was happy because at least she was still alive which, she happen to be the only life left in the mist of burnt bodies and buildings it seems the whole village has been wiped out with what looked like fire but far beyond an ordinary fire ,he flung her on top of his back and zoomed off still wandering how she was able to survive such an attack.

Staring intensively at the small creature lying on his bed he felt so relaxed and peaceful looking at every detail of her body ,he finds her astonishing but his thought was distracted when Sabrina swunged the door open but not too hard to wake the human , she was fuming with anger ,until she saw the body lying on what suppose to be her matrimonial bed , her anger reach its full extent ready to pounce on the creature and tear her limb by limb Immediately she made a move Chris being faster than her countered her attack now facing each other Chris growled at her furiously emitting his alpha trait the furious Sabrina was forced to summit to the alpha's growl ,she was angry and confused at the same time wandering what Chris could possibly want from a human girl and he has never been protective of anyone not even her . she was so embarrassed to be humiliated in front of the omegas ( the lowest rank in a pack, more like the slaves) she stood up quietly and left without saying a word .Earlier Chris called in some of the female omegas to look after his mate and tend to her needs .When Sabrina left, Chris felt sorry and regretted his actions ,he forgot for a moment there were omegas in the room ,it was just his protective wolf instincts that kicked in, his attention shifted when there was sudden movement from his mate .

Amber woke up seeing a face looking at her ,she smiled expecting it to be her mother's face but unfortunately the face was not her mother's but a fine looking face ,intoxicating ocean blue eyes and a well chiseled jawline with his silver line hair falling down his shoulders , reminding her of the wolf in the woods ,she was woke from her fantasy world when the memories of what happen to her mum and her village , flooded her head ,she stated sobbing then she felt a warm hand rapped around her , for a moment she forgot that she was crying she felt so peaceful and comfortable as if the hug absorbed her pain she was lost in her fantasy world again not until she noticed pairs of eyes looking at them in awe ,her face turned red and she wiggled her self out of Chris's embrace ,he finds this action funny and cute but glaring at the omegas for making his happy moment end so soon .Amber on the other hand was so focus on him that she didn't notice other people in the room ,she was feeling ashamed and shy she wasn't able to look them in the face again. the knock on the door shifted everyone's attention , a voice came through the door telling Chris that the alpha requests his presence immediately ,Chris sighs and shifted his gaze to his mate who can clearly see the pain in his eye not wanting to leave her side ,Amber gave him a reassuring smile ,then he stood up took a few steps forward then stop like he was forgetting something ,he turned towards the omegas and signalled them to tend to her as he turned to leave ,he looked toward them again giving them a warning glare immediately they all bowed their heads in fear ,he gently walked out of the room ,Amber was confused how can he have so much effect on them she wondered .
