UNFAIRLY JUDGED
LIZA'S POV
Isabel was very fond of Mr. Alfred. I'm almost tempted to say she was in love with him. After months of secretly seeing each other, Mr. Alfred never asked her to be his mate but she continued seeing him and I had just put that same man in a coma.
"He attacked me. He wanted to rape me so I... I stabbed him" I stuttered but she wouldn't believe me.
"Wow, the rogue Omega finally shows who she truly is. I'm reporting this to gamma Julian" she said, scornfully.
"Isabel, please, believe me" I begged as I went over to her.
"The injuries are severe. It'll take some time for him to heal. You brought this upon yourself rogue" she concluded then she howled, gathering attention to the innkeeper's room. Some of the guards in the inn rushed in gasping at the sight of the incident.
Isabel had always hated me because Mr. Alfred had found interest in me so I can imagine how much fun she'd be having right now.
"What happened here?" One of the guards asked.
"He tried to..." I tried explaining but Isabel cut me short.
"She attacked our dearest innkeeper seeing that she's a rogue. We all know how Liza tends to be when she flips the ol' crazy switch. She's a psycho and she put Mr. Alfred out just because he wouldn't give her a raise" Isabel lied. I looked at her amazed at how far she could go just to see my downfall.
"It isn't my fault he loves me and not you" I said out of contempt as she made a derogatory face. Shoot! I shouldn’t have said that. It definitely stung her.
"Take her to Gamma Julian" Isabel demanded and immediately I received a blow to my face and passed out.
I woke up, cuffed behind my back and in front of justice; the pack's Gamma, a gruff and intimidating figure named Julian. I was brought to the pack's headquarters, a grand estate on the outskirts of town. As I knelt before him trying to regain consciousness, I could feel the eyes of the pack's members on me. I knew that as a rogue Omega, I was not welcomed here.
"What is her offense?" He asked.
"Gamma Julian, this psychopath you see here almost killed her boss just because he wouldn't give her a raise" One of the guards explained.
"That is not true," I said, failing in my defense.
"Gamma Julian, she is a rogue Omega. Who knows why she was sent away from her pack. At the inn, we've had complaints about Liza the rogue omega. She's crazy," the guard said.
"I am not crazy! I was brought here before justice, at least let me have my say and then you can judge me," I said at the top of my voice but Gamma Julian scoffed. He looked at me with disgust. I heard he hasn't always been a fan of omegas, not to talk about rogue omegas
"What pack do you come from?" He asked.
"I can't remember," I answered.
"Why were you sent away?"
"I wasn't banished, I escaped" I replied, not wanting to remember the horrible experience I witnessed at my Pack.
"Because...."
"I can't... I can't remember" I stuttered. Giving out too many details about my past could give out my truth about being cursed.
"Or you're hiding something" He suggested with a grin on his face.
"I've been a rogue since I was little. I sought refuge in this pack because I had nowhere else to go. I am not crazy nor am I a psychopath," I said in my defense but everyone amidst the crowd started shouting in disapproval. I wasn't welcomed amongst them. It was almost like they had been waiting for me to slip up once, so they could witness me in my miserableness.
"This rogue omega is just a parasite to our pack. She deserves never to see the light of day" Gemma Julian said to the people around me who were there to witness my judgment.
"You don't deserve justice. You belong in the dungeon" he said to me with so much hatred in his eyes. Then I spat on his face. I was already given an unfair sentence so why not.
"Take her to the dungeons!" He demanded as two estate guards took me away. They brought me to the pack's dungeon, a dark and damp underground cellar. One of the guards threw me into a cell, slamming the door shut behind me. I heard the sound of the lock clicking into place, trapping me inside.
"Wait!" I called out, my voice echoing off the stone walls. "I need to see the Lycan! I need to explain what happened! Please…"
But they just laughed, one of their voices dripping with disdain. "The Lycan is busy, Omega. You'll have to wait in line. And besides, what could you possibly have to say that would make a difference? You're just a worthless rogue, after all."
I seethed with anger and frustration. I had been unfairly judged, and the Pack's Gamma was prejudiced against me because of my status as an Omega. But I also knew that I had no choice but to wait.
Hours passed, and I was left alone in the darkness. I could hear the sound of footsteps outside my cell, but no one came to visit me. I was starting to lose hope. Not until days after, I heard footsteps. This time it came close towards my direction. I managed to get up after days of being poorly fed and given little or no water to drink. It was hope I sensed.
I couldn't quite see well but it was a man. A muscular man. He emitted so much power and strength, like he was a Lycan or something. He came up to me shocked as though he knew me...as though he owned me.
He was finally close. We met face to face as his eyes glowed red. It was then I had confirmed he was truly a Lycan; Lycan Ryder.
"Mate," he said with authority.
