As I stood there listening to Marcus, who was urging me to forget everything I had discovered and act like nothing had happened, I realized that he was going to rat me out due to his unwavering loyalty to Lycan Ryder. It was apparent that he idolized Ryder and would do anything for him, including sacrificing his own life.
Given this realization, I decided to come up with a plan. I decided that I would tell Marcus that I planned to kill Liza, which was true. However, I wouldn't reveal the real plan to him, in case he decided to inform Ryder. I decided to deceive him and stay two steps ahead of them both.
