Ryder’s POV
The evening went well with me and Arthur taking a stroll and talking about kingdom matters and the challenges that come with it. He also asked me about the main issue with Liza and I made him understand the necessary things he needed to know. It was nice talking to him and he promised to keep her safe until I got everything sorted. We went back to the house and Liza was already asleep and I did not want to wake her up. I only changed my clothes and pulled her into a warm cuddle. I was going to miss her so much but I couldn’t let my feelings cloud my mind.
“When did you get back?” her sleepy voice asked me immediately and I pulled her close to me.
“Just now.” I responded by placing a peck on her forehead.
“Had dinner yet?”
“Yes love, now, go back to sleep okay.” I urged h
