“I understand you think you cannot trust each other but I want you to think of one thing. If I do not want to help you, then why have I not rat you out to the council? Think about your response carefully. You lie, then it’s on you. If you tell me the truth, then I can think of a way to help you. Everything lies on your shoulders.” Elder Fabian said to him and he just kept on staring at him, unsure of the response to give.
He had to be very careful of what he would say. It is either he sells his daughter out or saves her. As a father, it is a very tough decision to make and he hoped to make the right choice. “Can I trust you?” he asked the elder Fabian.
