Where am I??
“Shrrrr, shrrr, shrrr.”
What’s all that noise? I opened my eyes, the brightness of the room caused me to shut my eyes again. The soft feel of the mattress underneath me seemed to swallow my body whole. My mind felt clogged, clouded more so with the amount of pressure I was feeling on the inside.
Hushed whispers seemed to catch my attention, my ears straining to pick up the words being whispered.
“She should be up by now.”
“Time is moving fast, we have to get her to the daughter for the ritual to be complete.”
“Are you sure it is necessary for both of us to be here?”
