Clara’s POV I woke up with a jolt, my body heavy and warm, tangled in sheets that smelled like sweat, s*x, and Reed. Bright sunlight poured through the gaps in my curtains, painting the room in soft gold. My eyes widened in horror as I registered how late it was. The house was too quiet, too still. My mom should have been moving around by now — making breakfast, humming in the kitchen, or calling my name. Oh God. Reed was still asleep beside me, his muscular arm draped heavily over my waist, his breathing deep and steady. His naked body pressed against mine, warm and solid.
