"Welcome to Blossom Bridal Shop. What can we do for you?".The shop owner Manager Linda welcomed three young ladies into the shop with a sweet smile but the three ladies only returned gave her a haughty look before entering the boutique.
Having been snobbed, Linda wasn't the least bit disappointed and followed them around with her signature gentle smile. Working in this shop for two years, she has seen her fair share of unreasonable and arrogant customers.
Judging by their designer clothes and bags, this ladies were all rich misses so she can't afford to offend any of them.
"I learnt your shop has one of the best bridal wears in the city. Looking around, I'm not that impressed though", said
The beautiful and petite lady clad in limited edition brand clothes with blonde hair who seemed to be the leader of the trio.
"Miss shouldn't worry, I'm sure you'll find our dresses and gowns pleasing. Let me show you the latest arrivals. Believe me, you'll look like a diva on your wedding day" Linda quickly spoke, flattering her.
"She's already a diva". the lady on her left response, her voice filled with arrogance.
"Yes. yes. My bad. l mean to say she'll look like the queen that she is. The most beautiful".Linda hurriedly amended her words.
The lady smiled, looking charming and seemed to like the compliment.
"Okay. I'll see your latest designs. Show me". She said.
"Just so you know, Jessica Parker is the daughter of senator Parker and she can go to any where in the world to have her wedding dress custom made for her but she chose your store so don't disappoint us"
The girl on the right felt the need to explain her friend's identity.
"Vicky, behave yourself". Jessica said to her sidekick.
"It's a pleasure to have you here Miss Parker. Please tell me what you like and I'll get it for you" Linda offered.
"Do you want to try out the gowns yourself?"she asked.
"No. I learnt you have girls here who model the dresses here" Vicky asked.
Linda nodded.
"Well then get one here who has the same body shape as Jessica to wear the gowns" the other girl Sandra spoke. Linda and started walking away to get things get up but she was stopped by Jessica.
"Wait. I heard a girl named Nalani works here so let her be the model"
Linda looked at them with a puzzled look but after a second, she quickly adjusted her expression and agreed to their request.
Jessica took her phone from her bag, dialed a number and waited till the person on the other side picked up. A disgruntled voice asked her what she wants. She gave the guy an address and asked him to come over as soon as possible but the man flatly refused, and his refusal angered her so much. She angrily threatened to inform his mother if he doesn't show up.
Exasperated, the man agreed to come. Jessica smiled triumphantly.
Linda informed Nalani that a client wanted her to model wedding gowns for her. This was her job so she quickly got to changing into the wedding gowns.
At the show room, the curtains parted and Nalani walk down the runway clad in a beautiful wedding gown, she looked so stunning that one will mistake her for a real bride but everyone sitting there to watch the show were far from happy.
The smile on Nalani's face froze a little and a steps stagnant for a few seconds when she recognized the clients but she quickly regained a composure, smiled even more brightly and continued with the walk. Jessica and her two friends looked at Nalani with green eyes.
Meanwhile, the man sitting beside Jessica stared transfixed at Nalani, completely mesmerized. Jessica saw Gerard, her fiance looking at Nalani, and her eyes turned red with jealousy.
Her fingers dug into her palm as she clenched her fist tightly, trying to suppress her jealousy and hatred.
"Well, Miss what do you think of this gown" asked Linda, who was standing by the side.
"It's awfully made"Vicky retorted.
"And classless too" Sandra added.
Linda was surprised but said,"If you don't like this one then have her change into another one".
She asked Nalani to go change into another one so she left. After ten minutes, Nalani walked in wearing a sleeveless figure hugging white dress that accentuated her curves and long legs leaving everyone with mixed emotions.
"So beautiful", Gerard muttered. He had imagined countless times what it'll be like to see the girl of his dreams wearing a wedding dress. She looked as stunning as he'd imagined.
Jessica heard his compliment and her expression twisted with anger. She stood up abruptly, startling everyone. Then she walked up to Nalani and sized her up from top to bottom. She turned to look at her friends who quickly came to surround Nalani as well.
"No matter how much you dress up a pig, it'll still look vulgar and classless"Vicky rudely remark, looking at Nalani with a haughty expression but the latter remained quiet.
Seeing her words having no effect on the target, she got even more angry and yanked the pearl necklace on Nalani's neck causing it to break and scattering everywhere.
"It loses it luster when paupers wear it" Nalani looked at Vicky with an angry gaze.
PA!!!
A slap rang out shocking everyone there. Vicky had slapped Nalani.
"Cheap sluts like you shouldn't look me in the eyes when l talk"Jessica looked in with a happy expression, her heart filled with joy. The sole purpose of coming here is to humiliate Nalani, the girl that remained a thorn in her flesh after all this time.
Angry, Gerard grabbed Jessica by the arm, pulling closer to him and said,"Don't be too excessive. It's so lowly. Don't force me to move my hands"
Being threatened, Jessica felt even more upset. Before Vicky can continue gloating in her arrogance, Nalani raised her hand and slapped her twice in a row and then pushed her to the ground, shocking them all.
Vicky felt her ears buzzed from the slap, she raised her eyes to glare furiously at Nalani.
"b***h, I'm going to kill you. How dare you slap me".She screamed
"b***h?. Vicky between the two of us, who's the real b***h? Did you forget already because I haven't".said Nalani.
Vicky's eyes widen in fear and she yelled, "b***h, you're a liar.No one will believe in your nonsense."
She quickly got up from the floor and tried to attack Nalani but the latter pushed her back onto the floor.
"Try hitting me one more time and I'll make you remember what you've conveniently forgotten". Nalani warned.
"Nalani, don't go overboard"Sandra yelled. Nalani looked at her coldly and sneered,
"If you people are so bored then look for others to play with. I don't have time for your cheap tricks"
She turned and walked away from there.
Jessica glared hatefully at her departing back, but dared not have an outburst or say anything. Her father was a public figure so she had to mind her speech and manners at all times less she cause trouble for her father. That's why she brought this two fools to humiliate Nalani for her but now the joke is on them. How infuriating.
Gerard looked at his seething fiancee and sneered,"You're so pathetic." Then he also left.
"b***h, why don't you just die" she cursed.
